Floyd County RecordLogo Design Contest

Lets scrap the starburst/rainbow idea. I like the graphic and colors you used on the QuantLab account in your portfolio. I am still wanting more depth/perspective with the lettering. Floyd County should be much smaller---and sit atop RECORD. Still looking at a black background but want it to work on white as well. Give it a try!

Can you incorporate 3-D prisms into the starburst? The lettering, I'm looking for depth and gradient to create more 3-D.

Sorry, I'm still confusing about positioning the starburst.

Um...I would like the starburst to actually look like it is exploding...so dark colors in the middle, moving toward light colors. Delete the black splotch--not what I want. Too much depth--and, RECORD needs to be larger. Floyd County is a subordinate element. Pull the text box [Floyd county RECORD] over to sit on top of the multi-color graphic. Then, pull the multi-color graphic up so the text box's top-left corner is positioned in the circle of the starburst.

I would like multi-color---like colors of the rainbow. We are not focused on red and black or green and grey....all colors would work here. Give me bolder letters for RECORD with some shadowing...It is the focus. Put a bold, 3-D line under Record. Scoot the starburst graphic behind the left corner of the letter string...so it wold be coming out from behind the FL and the R

I like this graphic. Could it be made multi-color?? I prefer it to be on the left side. we are a print news moving into digital news so we want to communicate our forward-thinking, forward-movement idealism. Floyd County needs to be shrunk, but RECORD is the primary element. Don't like the red block, or any block at all. Try to incorporate 3-d elements into RECORD--gradients, shadowing, etc.

RECORD is the primary focus for us. I like the square--just need to reduce the attention to Floyd County. Is there a way to incorporate movement--we are moving from print news to digital news...any graphics, thoughts that could communicate a forward moving, forward-thinking idealism. The 'weathered' look is not what we are looking for, but I like the broken square idea.
