Ok this version is the revised of
#352 with a little bit thinner on the box and starburst of the bar.

I've got to attend a meeting for a couple of hours--thanks for your creative work! With these last few changes, I'm really going to favor this logo!

Yes, thank you! I like the subtle coloring and texture in the SQUARE that you had on the last revision--the one with the green in the square. Could you fix that? Also, this square looks to be thicker--I prefer thinner, by just a bit.Also...we need a starburst somewhere on the bottom-half--maybe on the BOTTOM of the pixel bar beneath the stem of the R

At this time it is 1:30 pm on Wednesday. The contest is open until 1:30 on Thursday. That means that we only have a couple more hours to revise this logo in order for it to be in consideration. I will be available for 3.5 more hours today, and a few short hours (up to 11:00 am US CST) tomorrow. We need a few hours to make the decision. I love this concept, and I believe we are very close to completion, but it still needs work to be considered.

Give me a little more blue area--I like the tone. Also, blue needs to be in the box-- I'm really liking this. And...we lost the star in the box...can you put it back--somewhere around the C area?

Just give me one star on the box---I think the upper left one. Now, the colors of the box and the bars---make them a greyish-blue---no green--just tones of greyish-blue.

Oooooo! I like that! BUT...we cant have green---it has to be a muted blue. I REALLY like the starbursts!!! Can I get a starburst on the outside box? GREAT font on RECORD. NICE!!! Let me see this in blue-

I like the boxed ends of the bars. Can you mute those blues? Although I like having green, there is too much of it and it, too, needs to be muted--more grey-green color. Apply the color to RECORD, but take it out of the top small lines---I think those should stay silver like Floyd County. Lastly, give me some 3-D edges on RECORD and on that bottom bar.

I kinda like that! Can you give me more of that texture? Mute those blues just a little bit more and with a touch of greyish green (Like dollar-bill green)? The black shadows around RECORD don't translate well--can you give me some 3-D edges rather than shadows? Block that left edge of the bottom bar--I want it to appear to be a strong foundation to the entire image. It's looking good--just a few more tweaks.

I don't like the green in RECORD. Can you switch the dimension effect in RECORD to be on the opposite side so it looks like the reader is standing on the left side of the 3-D letters. Block the left end of the bottom bar-- So you have a 'broken mirror' texture that could be applied to that bar?? it might make it more elegant/futuristic.

Um....I prefer the pixel breakout on the bar. Also, I don't want just purple and grey---we are a newspaper going from b/w print to digital and color, so we want to communicate that with impressive color. Can you give me a view with oil-slick/metallic colors/texture? I DO like the bold shadowing!

Good Morning! Let's tweak this image a little. Because we are a digital newspaper, I'd like to incorporate color. Can you apply an oil-slick color scheme to the lines and the word RECORD. Maybe make the bottom line double the thickness. Also, could we get more of the pixels on the end of the line....start about the front of the letter D

THIS one! Yes! Now....can you create some "3-d pixels" on the right corner of the bottom line--like it is breaking into pixels

Slant that little upside-down peak--as if it were the "speaking" part of a speech bubble... and we are getting input from Floyd County

See that little 'v' part on the bubble--the breakout segment--? That's all I want from the bubble. Attach that little piece to the line.

how about this?

no....I want the line back on the top....the 'bubble line' is just a straight line with a 'v' extending down from it---kinda at an angle. It would not be 3-D--just a simple black line.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean..

incorporate windmill in the "O"

can you put a horizontal line with a "speech bubble arrow" pointing down to Record. I want this subtle, so start it under the 'O' in Floyd, the bubble's arrow in the space, then stop it under the 'N' in county. May need to shrink ECORD a bit. communicating that we will be encouraging input from our readers.

I love the line above...keep it--keep working on 'movement'

Much better. Now...let's do something to communicate movement...moving forward...moving to get the news...some type of graphic that communicates movement

I like this. Would like to see a few changes just to compare. Shrink the D, please... I'd like to see it with just the R tall. Also, can we make RECORD grey with a black outline please...maybe 3d-ish. I like the horizontal line--can we make it grey and black please. We are moving from print news to digital news---is there a graphic, 'swipe', something that communicates the movement toward digital? Would love to see your ideas...
