The flip flops work a lot better on this version. You'll still maintain legibility from a distance if you use it on signage, I think replacing the centers of the o or p will hurt that.
This is a simplified version with the flip flops. I've always found that a logo that can be used as a one color imprint without gradients ends up being used more than the full color version.
Sorry for all the notes, but I like this a lot. If you make a few of the modifications I suggested previously, could you also show this as text only without the background? I am working with a committee and would like to demonstrate the flexibility of this logo.
