Hello -

1st let me say that these are always my favorite contests. As a fellow believer, I am always drawn to them.

...and of course as a fellow believer, I know that the logo is more important for your ministry than just the average business out there. My dad is in his 3rd decade of full time ministry and has pastored our church for 18 years. I will try to bring some of my insite into the inner workings of ministry to try and give you a fresh viewpoint. Regardless of what logo you get, I pray the Lord will use it as a tool to further His kingdom. There are some wonderful designers here. You will have no trouble finding the perfect mark.

As for my entries, I am leaning towards church marks that represent hope. I like the ideas of horizons, and paths leading to a point to represent the idea that we are only one decision away from finding that future that He has planned for us. The idea of the Lord being our hope. (Jeremiah 29:11) These logos will reflect that.

As a side note I am a Florida native and grew up in southern Florida, so I have a feel for the demographic as well.

So feel free to offer comments and feedback. (Suggestions etc.)

Here are some other churches that have recently chosen my work:

My first idea is a simple horizon with the light of His hope appearing beyond it. The 3 plates that make up the logo are an abstract reference to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God Bless,
Paul

If you notice in the foreground the path is darker. The light is where we are called to lead them to.

Another idea based on Jeremiah 29:11...The future and Hope that is implied.

This also works well as an icon/favicon/web icon/ or button on web pages. It is simple, but very much fits in this web 2.0 age. While not being to "out there" for those who may not feel comfortable in internet age.

This is an idea that I have had around for a while, but It may fit your need. It is again the idea of a path. Maybe to salvation. Maybe to reconciliation, maybe to a new start....in any event the light at the end comes from one source.... the SON.

This is a fun idea. The Sun, Horizon, and path form a human figure, arms lifted in praise.

Remember the text can be put on top below (As it is here) to the left, or to the right....I have thousands of fonts as well...so the font treatments of my entries can be changed in limitless ways.
