Hi, here are my initial entries for your consideration. I've tried to create simple, yet strong abstracts/lettermarks to go with the custom wordmarks I've put together that embody the characteristics you set forth in the brief: secure, refined, serious, masculine -- without resorting to gimmicks like padlocks or images relating to currency. My first entry is straightforward. My second entry somewhat resembled a bar graph in the lettermark without it being too obvious. I hope you like my style, and I'd love to have your feedback. Many thanks!
Both are a nice start. I don't know about the white on blue though. Seems like it would be very hard to use. I'd be interested to see both in color on a white background.
Hi, here are the revisions you requested. Color doesn't have to be limiting. A good logo should communicate in one color, and if you settle on a color scheme, you'll probably want a version in color, a version in black, and a version that can go on top of black or color. This way you'll have a versatile design that can last because it can be used in any medium. It's good to think about the ways that you know you'll use your logo and the ways that you haven't even thought of yet! Thanks for your consideration.
Hi! No, I haven't given up at all -- just have a busy life. I've done a few late night revisions here, but I'm not sure I'm hitting the mark yet. Can you possibly provide a little bit more feedback in terms of what you're looking for? I mean, my original idea was an attempt to represent the letter F as a bar chart, and let's face it, bar charts are pretty static. If you're looking for a logo with dynamism, I think I'll have to go in another direction. Maybe a little bit of sleep and a good morning coffee will provide a fresh perspective! Thanks!
Hi. The new icon is very cool but too gray. What about a different color for each of the three bars in the F (like logeko) and doing it for all 4 F's? Also would like to see how it looks to the left of the name and see you play with the axis rotation. Also open to other ideas (see my general note) that are more dynamic than bar charts (can argue with you there).
Hi! Thanks for your feedback and your patience. I've gone back to the drawing board this evening, and I hope I've come up with some designs that you find dynamic. Most of them are really derivative of my original design, with some amount of movement added. I'd love your feedback. Thanks so much!
I'd like to see a few variants please. for #118 -with icon to left of name, same orientation -icon to left but "square"
for#124 -either curves that are more financial, or -any way to suggest a "crystal ball" that would look good and be understood? one of our customer benefits is "visibility" into their data and processes. just a thought.
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Designs #161 and #162 I think fulfill your requests regarding #118.
For the changes to #124, I tried curves that look more like trend lines (an upward trend, of course!) -- is that what you meant by "curves that are more financial"? #165 has a crystal ball effect added to it. A design with this amount of effects added to it might not work so well for all applications -- it would look great on screen for example, and would look good in most printing situations, provided you're printing in 4-color. But for occasions when you can only print in one or two color, or if you want to embroider, silkscreen, engrave, etc., you would want a simplified version like #166. This is very common with logos -- the trick is finding one that looks good in one color and with all the modern effects we can accomplish with graphics software.
Thanks so much for offering so much great feedback and encouragement during the contest. I wish you the best of luck choosing the perfect logo. If you'd like any more changes, please let me know.
Hi David! Yes, I got your message, but it's been a long and busy day. My apologies for the delay. Here are the revisions you requested. The first has the lighter blue, and the second uses the tagline. With the tagline, I vertically centered the icon with the whole wordmark, which is a slight departure from the placement without the tagline. I hope you think that's OK! Thanks so much!
