Hello EnzoBluebird -

Thanks so much for your logo designs! #39 is simply lovely - you hit the sentiment I want spot-on. I might want to fine-tune the colors and/or fonts, but I really like this design.

I'm also intrigued with #40, which looks like a life preserver. This could be very fitting! The only suggestion I'd make for this one is that the cat looks almost menacing - is there a way to make the cat a little more friendly? I like the silhouette but maybe the ears could be more perky and something done with the eyes or face.

I love your work so far!

Hi again - I just keep looking at #39 and I really love it. Can I suggest some fine-tuning right now? I'm super excited about this design in particular because, like I said, it just conveys the partnership between human and cat perfectly :). Please don't change the woman's face at all - it's great! And I love the sweep of the arm and hand holding the cat. Here are a couple of things to think about (fairly minor, I hope!):

- Can you change the color from less green to more of a lighter blue/aqua? I am not crazy about dark blue, but I'd like the blue to be a calming, relaxed color (if that makes sense).
- Could you find a warmer font for the word Feline? I like a serif font, but the current font is a bit stern.
- Related to the above, I'm not crazy about the slogan's font. Perhaps use the same font you choose for "Feline", but keep the slogan the same size as it is now, bold and italicized.
- When I view the logo, the cat strikes me as a bit fox-like. I think that's largely due to the white chin patch. Instead of the white chin patch, could you try adding two little lines coming down from the bottom of the nose, so that the cat looks like its little mouth has a slight smile? Maybe add some subtle whiskers, if they don't add too much clutter to the face?
- I'm not sure how to change this, but could the woman's hair be a little more modern? I like the curves because it fits in with the rest of the shapes in the design and I like the part, too. I don't know - but if you have any ideas, give them a try; it's really not a big deal though.

I hope this isn't too nit-picky; you're at the top of my list right now and I'm pretty sure you'll make the top 5 ;)

Thanks again, marci

Hi Marci,

#60 #61 #62 #63 & #64 - here are some more versions of #39. Each one has a different blue and there are two hair styles. With the cat I have added whiskers and a white part on its left ear. Also given the cat a white chest which defines the chin better.

Regarding #40, you're right, it is a life preserver (we call them lifebelts). The cat was supposed to look a bit rebellious or defiant. The way they look when they turn an ear backwards as if they don't want to listen to you. Not sure if it's worth pursuing this design apart from different colours and typefaces.

Look forward to your comments.

Hi EnzoBluebird -

WOW!!! These are absolutely beautiful. I'm having such a hard time deciding which one I like best! And I really like the additions to the cat; I think they really work. I *think* I like the hairstyle in #64 the best, but I can't decide on which blue I like best...they all look good, really. It might be between the blues in #62 and #63. But #64 is also good! I will have to ask a couple of friends to help me decide :)

I also really like the font you've chosen for "Feline". I noticed that the color combination for each line of text changes between the different designs, too, so I'll have to figure out which one of those I like best, too!

At this point, I'm really sold on your woman/cat design, so as much as I appreciate your lifebelt design, no need to work further on that one. But please leave it in the contest for now, as I'd like to run all of the logos by some friends.

Thank you so much for these edits; I will be in touch. Cheers, marci :)

Hi Enzo - ok, so I've made some decisions and have some additional requests. I really love this design, and it feels like we're definitely narrowing things down to get at just the right version! :)

- I like the hairstyle in #64 the best.
- Let's go with the blue in #62.
- For the coloring of the text, can you try top line blue, behavior solutions in the dark grey, and the bottom line in orange using lowercase letters?
- Something is not quite right about the cat's face. I'd like it to look as serene and content as possible. I'm wondering if just simple brush stokes in dark grey, like the woman's face, would work? So for the eyes, maybe just two humped lines, and then a tad more smile to the mouth. I like the whiskers, but I think they detract from the simplicity of the style, so maybe remove them. Know what I mean?

Thanks again - I hope these adjustments are doable :)

I think maybe the whiskers are the main problem with the cat. I'll do some more variations with and without whiskers, plus your other comments.

Here are some more variations:
#109 - no white around the cat's eyes with whiskers.
#110 - white around the eyes and no whiskers.
#111 - no white around the eyes and no whiskers.
#112 - slight change to the side of the cat's neck.
#113 - with the woman's head larger which looks better in relation to the rest of her body and the cat, and different typefaces for the text.

Hi Enzo! Thanks for all of the variations! I like the larger head for the woman and the new font, as in #113, but I like the original shape of the cat's head, with whiskers and no white around the eyes as in #109. Whew! So many details - thanks for your patience and willingness to play around with them.

Cheers,
marci :)
