Discussion

Josh,

Thanks for your designs! What an amazing puppy - and such a hilarious detail to have his weight tipping the text. I also like the blue. The drawback for me is the "Fat Puppy" typeface - I worry that it makes the overall design seem too homespun and not professional enough. Could I see some other options?

Thanks,
Ashley

Thanks Ashley! :) I was a little worried that it might not be serious enough - I already have some other type faces in mind - I'll have them up in a few minutes. Thanks for your feedback & consideration!

Here a re couple different directions for type. If you like, for instance in #48, the serif typeface, but not that PARTICULAR serif font, I can explore some more. Or if there's anything else I can revise, please just let me know. :) Thanks!

Well, I have to admit it looked more holistic with your original typeface; I'm not sure either of these works as well. We can try all-caps if you think that might work; otherwise we may have to give up the tipped text and explore other arrangements.

No problem, I'll keep looking :) Personally (obviously biased :) ), I think the concept stands out in a practical, but memorable way.

thanks again

Hey Ashley :) Here are some more variations on the concept as well as some more standard placements. Thanks!

Hi Ashley! Here are some black versions. I redrew the puppy with bolder/cleaner lines to work better with the typeface. #69 Is solid black. #70 Contains some gray for shading the puppy.

thanks again

Josh,

Thanks so much for submitting designs. I thoroughly enjoyed these and it was a privilege to look through the rest of your portfolio, as well. You have a very beautiful, wholesome style that makes me curious about each company being represented. That said, it's not quite the right feel for this particular company.

I'll definitely keep you in mind for future projects - and if you have any feedback for me as a client, I'd be happy to hear it!

Best wishes,
Ashley

Bummer. Just got this as I was uploading...well, it's here in case you change your mind.

Thanks for the feedback & opportunity. I do a lot of illustration work and would love to work with you again on another project that I might be a better fit for. :)

Are you looking for something with less linework...more solid / abstract? Or a more serious puppy? Or both?

I'd be happy to try a new dog puppy image if you're still open for consideration. If logotech has it locked down, that's fine too - just thought I'd check.

thanks

Oh, what bad timing! :-(

Thanks for the offer but it's pretty locked down.

I already had this idea sketched out and decided to give it a shot. The puppy is rendered in a more traditional, engraved style - but presented in a more contemporary way. Being in the circle makes it already adapted to social media icons / small sized icons / etc. Thought I'd give it one last shot.
