A few other considerations for us and you: (1) We are a low-budget enough non-profit that we still produce some letters and publications only in black and white instead of in color to save on reproduction costs. One concern I have about entry #49 is whether it will lose some of its power when copied in black in white. This issue will be real in our final consideration of all of the designs, and I wanted to bring it to the surface. Can you relatively easily show us what a black and white reproduction of favorites including 49, 9, 47, 28, and 7 look like; (2) Currently our letterhead and newsletters include our logo left-justified on the top of the page. Our remittance envelopes appear with our FTI scales to the left of our name and street address (all centered of course on the remittance envelope). I wonder if you can help us to know if you would expect letterhead use of 9 or 48 would include centering the image at the top of the page (instead of left-justifying). Similarly, I wonder if you have a picture of how it would play on a remittance envelope. Some of us here are favoring designs we can most easily imagine left-justifying such as 2, 12, and 11. However, you may be able to guide us in being more creative in our thinking here. Too, you might allow us just to see 9 and 47 with the FTI circle placed to the left of the spelled out FAIR TRIAL INITIATIVE, in a way that is similar to item 11; (3) I believe seeing FAIR TRIAL INITIATIVE in capital letters, with F, T, and I slightly larger, is more powerful than presentation of some of the letters as lower-case letters; and (4) Finally, I wanted to add that the lines of 7, 6, and 2 and the way they don't close on the right (seemingly hinting at the infinite or at growth) were something I thought was just fantastic. I believe it had a real part in why that design was ranked so highly by all of us earlier in the context.
Many thanks for your creatively and your incorporation of our significant input! (SA)
