Here is the logo idea I came up with: a silhouette of a heartbroken fantasy player with his hands on his head. (He obviously should've started his stud QB instead of playing his 2nd QB with the favorable matchup!) Diehard fans will immediately recognize the tie to the traditional logos (NBA, MLB, etc.), evoking immediate humor and fun for all who see it. It is obviously influenced by those logos, but definitely different enough to not cause any trademark issues.
I will continue to refine this and post better versions as I go, but I wanted to get something out here asap for your review. Thanks!
This is a genius idea for a site, by the way. I really hope it takes off! I would love to pour my heart out to those who fully understand the game and heartbreak that can come with it... ;)
We really like your designs and enthusiasm. We like the direction you have taken with the logo. The shadowing and the font style is greatl. Here are a few requests we have for revisions:
1) The silhouette's action needs to somehow be more defined. Although it is better with the cap on his head, it still appears a little vague. 2) It doesn't need to have a hat. Whatever you feel needs to be done to ensure a clear depiction will be terrific.
Very good progress. I appreciate you trying to keep the logo with one of our original visions to make it similar to the pro sports logos out there. The shirt color is an interesting idea (#18). We are still a bit concerned with the top of the guy I know what you are trying to convey - maybe you can add some hair to him so it looks like he is pulling his hair out? Right now it kind of looks like he is wearing a beret :)
Also, love the font and layout in #17, we'd certainly like to see your edits under both styles (top and bottom like in 18 and side to side like in 17).
