Discussion

Hi -

Great job for a first design! I didn't see the Es in the cube on #5 until it was enlarged nor did I notice the horizontal / vertical line in #4 or #1. These subtle touches make a difference.

I can skip the red in #1 and #5, although with a different shade of blue or a less contrasting option to the blue and the clearer font of the other four choices, I may like #1 best. I like the blue on blue of #2, #3 and #4. I like the little person the X becomes in four of the five designs. Is there too much writing on #3, #4 and #5 when you use both the tagline and the web address? I wonder what #4 would look like if you dropped the web address but kept just the tagline?

Overall, I think I like #1 but with the clearer font of the others and the X in a different color. Since we are a corporation, shouldn't the "Inc." be worked into the corporate logo?

Just a thought. To keep the same logo we have had for 24 years (which I do not altogether hate but was looking for a tweak), might you be able to modernize it a bit and add a complementary logo (to be used in smaller spaces on various web/print media) with the two capital Es, one solid and one striped, using the same effect of the interlocking Es as you have created in the five attached examples? I think the logo recognition of a tweak to what we have now might be a plus.

Thanks so much for your help, jesicastudio!

Hi, Jess -

On #13, can you put the Edge next to Excel and add Inc. so the corporate name is on one line? Can you drop the name line down so that once you add the tagline -- The Educational Edge -- we have an even hoizontal at the bottom? I like what you have done with the two capital Es interlocking. The solid and strip combination picks up the feel of the old logo, something important for brand identification. Ca you place The Educational Benchmark under the ExcelEdge, not under the interlocking Es?

Thank you for your help, Jess..

Hi, Jess -

Thank you for your quick turnaround! My error. The tagline is --
The Educational Benchmark. Can you redo #22 and #23 to reflect this?

Hi, Jess-

Can you make The Educational Benchmark smaller in #25, like you have done in #23? I would like to see how that looks.

Thanks.

Hi, Jess -

I frgot to mention, you need a space after the Edge and before the Inc., and you need a period after Inc. I like the size of the tqagline -- The Educational Benchmark -- and the color in #26, but I would still like to see #25 redone as I mentioned earlier!

Thanks for your hard work!.

I'm sorry, about your comment that I missed, about Reflect. if you are already matched with one of my logo, or some of my logo, then the next we're talking about color and lighting logo or Reflect.

Hi, Jess -

Can you give me #35 and #36 with a period after Inc.? Can you also leave a little more space in #36 between the three elements: the name of the company. the horizontal line and the tagline, similar to the spacing in #35? The spacing in #35 is good.

Thank yoiu.
