Thanks for keeping the name together. #2 i liked the icon usage and seemed to flow better than the others.

#3 i liked the icon but was wondering what it would look like if the circle was the globe and maybe was place in the "o" of source or some other place appropriate. #1 nice an clean but the fox head seems out of place.

Thanks! please try other icons that you think are appropriate and color combination. DOn't get stuck with the fox becuase of my origianal comment. I would love to see what other icon you think of that would represent intent and focus but a little wiley as well.

Hey, thanks for the changes and additions, I was really drawn to #44 and #43. Liked new color combo. What if #43 was blue world and orange stripe? Thanks for #42, but now seeing it, I am guessing you would agree that it doesn't quite work. Thanks for showing it though.

I like the idea of globl compass, but the picture just seems to spikey and you have to think about it longer to get what it is trying to say.

Thanks!

Hey jsut wanted to say thanks for your support and participation thus far.

The team has tried to narrow and focus the direction to further assist your efforts.
- Prefer the name kept together as"ExamSource" either spelt as this or all upper case - tried to rank the top 10
- Many liked the two word option and ranked them 11 through 20 but does NOT mean that those in top ten are more liked
- Prefered Picture mark vs Word mark
- Prefered picture mark is the fox but in creative fashion where tail and head can be used seperately
- Prefer the picure out front or creatively integrated #14 seems to work quite well
- one sugestion was the head outfront but the tail used as part of the letters or underlining the logo (would like to see something like this)
- Still want to keep it clean and simple - don't want to get lost with all the graphics
- Like the font of #12 or unique as in #11
- Color preference is that of #12 or #36 (Dark Slate Blue and Red Orange or Blacks and Red Orange)

Thanks and we hope this helps and please don't hesitate to ask any other questions that you might have

Right now your design seems to the first choice, but very close between the top three. Would you show what it would look like with the trademark "TM" and against a dark background?

Thanks,

Hey thanks for the response. The latest response from the team was that while the logo is catchy the icon is to old world. They were wondering for the globe if you could use something more modern and abstract.

Thanks

Logo Designer
Okay, I will change the globe with more modern style..
Do you want to keep the colors as blue and orange?

Client
Curerntly the preferred colors are Dark slate blues and light slate blues with orange red and yellows.

Thanks and 102 is getting closer to the intent. Do you have any other ideas outside a sphere that can represent global?

Logo Designer
I think sphere is the best shape to represent global.
But here is another idea #104

minimalist and modern orbit shape

Client
I think that is going more of the right direction.

I think if we stayed with the globe it would have to be more three dimensional. A couple thoughts that have come back are:
- an opaque globe with a question mark inside and rings like saturn going around it that are different colors and flowing from the name.
- globe made of different colored ribons that are spaced between and not a complete outline.
- keeping some recognition of questions within the globe.

Not wanting to send you all over the place, but I think the main point is that they want something more abstract and colorful that ties into the logo.

We really appreciate the effort. thanks.

a link that may give you more of an idea is :
http://graphicleftovers.com/graphic/abstract-globe-icons-57447/

The team seemed to like these type of representations and with the little figure holding the globe. Maybe the figure could be some kind of question mark.

Thanks

Hi,

Do you still have any interest in 3D sphere design?

If yes, you should put me back on the 1st rank. Because in this Judging mode, only the 1st rank can submit more designs.

Yes.... I will switch you back first thing in the morning. While you were a sleep I wanted to see what some of the others had to offer, that have been also very good to work with.

Thanks,

Thanks for having patience with me. This has been harder than i ever imagined.

Please submitt any other ideas that you might have. One other potential mark tha might work in conjunction with the world is a check mark. Maybe even as part of the words.

THanks,

I need to step away for a few hours and will comment when i return.

This will help me to improve the design.

Client
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I think we are starting to get there. I liked the check over the X better than the A, and I liked the direction of the globe of 114 better than 112 and 113, however I still strugle with the colors of the globe.

Maybe try a mixture of the shades of blue along with the shades of yellow through red orange. Also one other thought, was having a thin line that is tappered on both ends that seperates Exam and source but did not completely underline exam.

I also think i like the stacked name. The URL will be www.Exam-Source.com so maybe the seperation will support this better.

Client
Thanks again. I am more drawn to 118 over 117 and like the 3d. One concern i have is what it would look like against a dark background and will we need a different color variation for doing so. The back shadow is almost black and will it be lost on a dark background.

Also what if the shadow under the globe was slid more to the right where is was barely under the S in source?

Logo Designer
#120 moved shadow under the globe more to the right.

#121 how it looks like against dark background. The globe shadow is still visible but not quite strong.

#122 here is the lighter globe shadow. Looks better against dark background.

#123 and it is how the lighter shadow looks like on white background

Not sure there is much more that I can add. I like 122 and 123. I will have the team look at them tomorrow to get their opinion.

Thanks, If u come up with any other ideas don't hesitate to share tham.

Logo Designer
Good choice.
If you ask my opinion, I will go with the lighter globe shadow too.

It looks good on both light and dark background.

Sure, I will submit another design if I come up with something new.

I did have a couple of suggestions from the review team. They think we will need different color combinations of logos to work on both light and dark backgrounds
#123 - For the light background - they suggest keeping as is but make the line under Exam the same color as Exam and just a bit thinner in the middle and move it to the right until and stop just shy of the end of Exam.
#122 - For dark background - what if we used the color of blue on the bottom ribbons of the globe for Exam and do the same things with the underline as 122 but change the color to the red orange
Also when we print it out we get a lot of pixilation on the edges of the logo and they are very fuzzy. Is this something that will be cleared up when we get the final logo files? Are these web safe colors that you are using?

Logo Designer
Good suggestions for both background. Your print out got pixilation is because you print from a low resolution jpeg file. You will get a high resolution eps file And it will not get pixilation when you print it.

May I know why did your team want to move the line more to the right side?
In my opinion it is better to align the line in the center with exam and source.

Client
Thank you for hanging in there.

Currently #123 and #128 seem to be the teams favorite logos. Can I ask on #123 if you can make the line under exam a little bit thinner. Also on #128 can you make the line the same as what you will make #123 but keep it the same color as it is now. The team agrees that shortening and moving the line didn't work.

Thanks,

Design revision with thinner line under exam.

Client
Thank you. I have one last request. The team was concerned that with the colors in the globe made it look like a jolly ball. Their sugestion was to try just keeping it one color either the use of the blues or the oranges and use the shades of to show the 3 demensions.

Thanks,

Logo Designer
Here are some color variation as your request.

#148 #149 #150 #151 #152 #153 #154 #155

I agree with you. It looks better with only one color. This makes the design more professional and serious.

Dear Designer,

Thanks you for your contribution and willingness to help us out. The review team is comfortable with the two options in front of them and one of them is yours. They have asked me to submit one final request and that is if you would drop the globe from 150 and 151 and replace the line under exam with a 2 or 3 point line that is orange red in color and is not tapered. It can go almost all the way under Exam.

Thanks,

Dear insan89,

The team wanted to thank you for all that you have done in helping us choose a logo. You were very professional and supportive and came up with some great ideas. The logos 183 and 150 were great and achieved what we were asking for, but have decided to use the logo of one of your treammates. I chose almost 80 people review and the vote was 47 to 31. Very, very close.

Again thank you so much and hope that in the future if we need additional logos you will participate again.

Thank you!
