I've uploaded #304 & #305 with the changes you've asked. I presume that you want this dark grey and that this version (#293) doesn't need any changes.
Yes, I also prefer this font ;)
You were right, the E-K detached doesn't work as well, and the serif fonts don't work as well, since they aren't as bold as the font you originally chose.
Hi there. I think we are close. Just need three final logos. All with the attached EK logo, all with Portland OR. Version 1 like this one (done! :)), Version 2 with Coffee Company spelled out, and Version 3 with Coffee Co centered and not stretched out (similar to #278). And then I think we are at the final three. Thank you so much for working through some additional options..... I'm ready to make a decision!
I've uploaded some new logos with your suggestions.
You can see how the anchor looks with the orange.
About the "EK", personally I like it and you can use just as a symbol.
Regarding 'Co' versus 'Company', I think I've found a better solution with the spacing of the letters. I think it looks more balanced, what do you think?
I've tried some serif fonts but overall I didn't like it very much, in #291 you have an example with the font that I thought was better.
I've also changed "Portland" to "Portland, Or" and I think it looks good.
Please let me know what you think and if you want to see any other changes.
OK, so here are the things we are trying to decide between:
-The anchor versus the 'EK'.
-'Co' versus 'Company'.
-The color and where it should go.
Regarding the anchor versus EK: The anchor is nice, but wondering how it will translate with color. The 'EK' is nice, but wondering if it's starting to look like someone's initials, like for apparel (Tiger Woods' logo comes to mind).
Regarding 'Co' versus 'Company': As mentioned before, the Company fills the second line better, but 'Co' seems more traditional. The 'Coffee Co' font gets too large, although the triple lines on either side does help (#286). Any other options to help with this? Have you tried a second font for this lower line (for both 'Coffee Co' and 'Coffee Company'), maybe serif?
Color - like the use of color, and the orange is where I'm leaning. Definitely like the icon in color.
Portland - should we add an 'OR' to define Portland Oregon? Is there too many lines with lines on either side of 'Portland' and the lines above at 'Coffee Co'?
Lastly, could we try for a dark grey instead of black? Just want to see what a dark grey looks like.
Congratulations.... looking forward to finalizing a logo in the next few days. I'm going to take today and just review the latest logos you have provided and will provide feedback later today (tomorrow likely for you).... THANK YOU again.... really excited & ready to finalize this soon!
Good morning! Can you invert this logo to the negative? I'm getting feedback that the boldness of the black logo is good, but prefer the font and icons in the white logo. The font in the current black logo is just 'too gritty/dark'. Also, do like the color add, but need to review color choices a bit more before providing feedback on that.
(Sorry, meant to comment on this one).
Also, what do you think about not spelling out 'Company' in total? Most logos have a Co. ???

I've uploaded #255 with EST. 2017 instead of ESTD 2016 like you've asked.
Regarding the colors, I've uploaded some options for you to see. Red, orange and gold to convey the "shades of Chinatown". The shades of blue to convey the sea and the shipping history.
I hope you like them but feel free to ask for any changes.
I'm glad you like it.
Sure, I'll change it but here it's a bit late (4 am) and I'm about to turn off the computer but tomorrow I'll work on it.
About the color, I like to see it in black & white but I can give you some options. Do you want to see just some element of the logo in some color or all?
I've uploaded some new logos with different anchors, fish hook, stylized boat front (to see if you like it more) and also some new ones with your suggestions. I hope you like it but do let me know what you think and feel free to ask for any changes or new ideas.
Thank you! :)
Ok, I think I understood what you want and I'll work on it.
Meantime I made some different anchors just to see if you like it more and I can upload them when I finish the changes you asked me.
Happy New Year! What if you took #137 but with this 'Portland' line (from #187). And then instead of an anchor, you used one of your 'EK' icons (#134/#196). Also, the historic district is in Chinatown, what if the 'EK' resembled a brush stroke similar to Chinese letters? THANK YOU!
Like the overall 'stamp' feel of this logo, wondering if you have any other ideas for icon in lieu of anchor. Like the stylized nature of the anchor, but it can resemble a smily face as well.
I like the inclusion of 'Portland', as well as Est. 2016 on some of the other logos. The anchors, beans, wheels get a little too playful. Maybe a more stylized icon, and maybe just one and not both

In the 2 first ones the font is Garamond and Century Schoolbook, the others is for you to see if you like.
I've also changed the "EK".
In #303 I've arranged the space between the dot and the O (from CO.), I don't know if you prefer.
Let me know what you think.
Thank you!

Do you want me to use this serif font or other? And maybe in all the text or just in Even Keel Coffee Co.?
Thanks!
