Wondering how different colours may influence the impact of the logo.

with all respect, my humble suggestion is leaving name and icon in same color like #6 - #14 (or any color - tone you like). i think this is visually strong structure and this strength comes from being combined.

The team like it.

Could you reduce the 'bomb' like appearance of the beaker.
Please look at linking the grass product into the logo as well.

Maybe on design 16 you could get the green in the beaker to look like grass?
