These versions are good. But I would like it better if the symbol could have something that looks like it combines fluids (like water), lasers (light) and biology (like DNA).
A version that has colors similar to our website http://nano.mae.cornell.edu would also be interesting.
A version with the words below would also be interesting, but probably I like the words besides as you have done.
