This is good but I would like it better if the symbol could have something that looks like it combines fluids (like water), lasers (light) and biology (like DNA).

A version that has colors similar to our website http://nano.mae.cornell.edu would also be interesting.

A version with the words below would also be interesting.

Thanks again for all your logos. One other version I'd like to see is perhaps a simplified version that encorperates microfluidics (see below) and light or fiber optics (also see below). The microfluidic channel could perhaps be an underline under the "erickson lab" part. I like these but I'm worried that they don't say "microfluidics".

Microfluidics are essentially tiny channels that can carry fluids (like wires except carring water instead of electrons). Examples of microfluidic devices are shown below...

Waveguides are essentially optical fibers on a chip. Examples of optical fibers can be found by typing in "Optical Fibers" into google images.
