Ergo BridgeLogo Design Contest

We really like the feel of this logo, but we also need something where the art will iconify to a small square. I suspect this design won't iconify well. Do you have any other ideas that maintain the same feel but could make a favicon? In general, we are going for designs with art on the left.

I'd like to keep the tag line in the logo.

I like the font, but the bridge looks like a melon slice to me.

This logo reminds me of the Key Bridge (Washington DC). I like how clean this logo is, but it lacks color. Is there a way to add hint of technology without losing the elegant simplicity?
