Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
Thank you for your entries! You are definitely on the right track as these logos convey what we do and our target client base very well! #1 is particularly nice because I like the concept of documents being funneled through "something" and transformed into digital media. Can I see some more variations with a single document instead of a document set?
Color scheme is great (don't change that),
I also like the "flatness" of them as I feel they would be more versatile to use on any media including swag like clothing and mugs. On that note however, can I see some variations that have more depth (metallic / 3-D) for use on Web and Print?
Finally can you change the font to something more modern (we like the traditional bold font but want to see something different for compare / contrast purposes).
Thanks for the great feedback and comments, always appreciated, thank you. Will work on those variations shortly for, not a problem at all.
Just one query - and firstly thanks for the compliment on my own logo. When you say in the same style, would you like me to use ECM? Reason I ask is that obviously with just 96 its easy to do as its only two characters.
What I've done is one flat version and one more 3D. Personally I prefer the flat - but that's just me :-) I also think utilizing just one document makes it stronger and slightly clearer. And lastly I've also tried a couple of new more modern fonts.
Wow these submissions are great! Thanks for the quick turnaround Angus! I agree that the single document variations are more impactful. Can you please use the modern font from #19 on #17 and #18 please? Also can you try title case instead of uppercase ("Energy ECM" instead "ENERGY ECM")?
Also, thanks for accommodating the submission in the style of your own logo. Unfortunately the first crack didn't work for us but can you try using "Energy ECM" on 1 line in the same dimension / depth (in the orange) and drop the "Consulting Ltd" part? We're interested to see if we can make this style work.
Thanks again for the feedback ... Here are a number of options based on those - plus a couple of new designs. Trying to simplify the icon whilst still keeping the core elements of: oil, paper, digital - #56 #57
We seem to be gravitating towards the logos which have more depth / dimension in them and especially drawn to the ones that incorporate imagery into the company name instead of a standalone icons. Can you please provide a submission that meets these criteria?
I really like your new concept in #83 but can you use the font from #48 instead? Also, can you make the oil drop black? I would still however like to see a continuous line from the document to the oil however so I'll leave it up to you to decide how best to transition from the orange to the black.
Thanks, glad you like it ... Not a problem at all, here are two variations;
#91 - new font but in old style (with lines). Black to orange gradient in oil drop, but still highlight gradient behind to give the more 3D effect and gloss
#92 - new font but in style of #48. Also black to orange gradient, however I've made it stronger by removing the highlight gradient behind and filled it in with the same front gradient. This just makes the lines slightly thicker overall.
