i based my design on the circle shape, because the circle is the first thing that comes to my mind when im thinking about nuclear power.
i also broke the circle sometimes to express the meaning of detection
about the colors i used blue which express stabilty and tradition, but blue should not be too deep, otherwise express depression and sadness, think about the blues music and why it is called blues

Thanks Mimmo. I appreciate the thought you put into your designs. Nice to see someone from Italy too... all of our top designers so far are from Indonesia, and I'm Italian-American (my last name is "Cucinelli"). Unfortunately, I am working with two business partners who have settled in on 5 designs, all of which are a significant departure from our original "circular" logo. It's not likely they'll change their minds at this point in the contest, but thanks again for your ideas!
