Do you wish to keep it black - grey - white ? I saw in brief you specified about one example for colors.
I like the font, but not the colored dots. I like the ink coming off the E...but It gave me an idea.
What about a Rorschach inkblot, or part of one, with a hand print as negative space introducing the title with part of the tile in negative space inside the blot as well? or maybe with the font looking a little splattered in other parts of the embodied...like that part of the name was typed with a wet type writer?

My first proposals for your consideration, I've tried also a bit of color beside the grey, white, black and also detached the "e" splash logo from the text to see how it would look as a stand alone icon for use in profile picture on social media.
