I really like the FAI. Will you create a log with Edmond Fine Arts on one line and institute smaller below it. We are really trying to focus less on the word institute, thank you
Also would it be possible to change the inside of the FAI. for example with photos, art designs, etc based on our programs and events. look at this website. http://www.artscouncilokc.com/ I'm not a fan of their logo but I like the way they can manipulate it.
Regarding your request, It's doable with the right kind of photography, but in the end you will be trapped by resolution margin. Vector format is resolution independent, meaning that it's scalable from freeways billboards to business cards without any compromise or loss of quality. I agree, it might look awesome on websites (monitor, tablet, smartphone, TV screen) most of them use 72 DPI, but quite fuzzy on any print media in 99% cases. I could create humanoid like shapes doing the activities (painting, pottery, choir, acting, etc) but I'm afraid it's beyond the limit of visibility and comprehension (imagine all that shapes doing things inside 3 letters). If I may, I was thinking more on symbols (as mosaic) to highlight the multitude of activities performed at the Institute.
We meet today to discuss the logo. Currently our board is split on #1 and #2. We need to know if we can modify your design once we get it. if you looked at the Oklahoma City Arts Council logo it will give you an idea of what we are talking about. having the ability to change visual images inside the design to meet our need. example. add a photos inside the FAI. Is that an option? Also would you create logo options for black and white, letter head, web etc using #41 and also a horizontal version like #35 Thanks,
It could be done I guess, a layered Photoshop format with grouped colors for transitions from (a single or multiple colors) "mosaic" to (pan or zoom) pictures in a virtual inside the logo animation to and from or reversed exported as a GIF (web animation), hmmm..The only uncertainty from my end is the size of the allowed "LOGO" of the web page. Websites usually are quite strict regarding the logo size. Your actual logo size is 98 pixels in height and 125 in length. Making it larger (better pictures display) it might mess with the menu and I want to be part of the solution not the problem. Honestly it's not an easy one, Otherwise everything you asked for I can provide.
We met with our committee this afternoon and would like to see a couple variations, if you don't mind. On #41 will you please make the FAI part as wide as the rest of the wording and then, proportional in height? Also, will you put that changed logo on a back ground of royal blue, please? Also, is it possible to put a black outline around the FAI letters? Thank you! I look forward to seeing more of your work!
Not well, I was stuck several images found on your website inside the letters, the result was awful. Is barely recognizable, and besides it doesn't make too much of a difference from original mosaic. In the end I felt to square one, "...being trapped by resolution margin...".
Your example, http://www.artscouncilokc.com/ ,is using a HTML animation and probably was built from the ground up with this purpose in mind.
P.S. I am not allowed to offer "free services" during the contest.
"Designer Guidelines for posting
Private arrangements with Contest Holders are unacceptable. (Example: offering additional free services during the contest if they select your logo) It is fine for a winning Designer to offer additional services after the contest is over."
I see what you mean with the animation. And I do understand what you mean by free services. We're sorry as this is the first time we have used this service and thought we could get variations during this time. Thank you so much for the additional changes you have made. We will get back with you soon!
