your on the right track. leave off the e. we prefer FAI only. our legal name is Fine Arts Institute of Edmond but that is too long, we are switching to Edmond Fine Arts to match our website, www.edmondfinearts.com but want to keep FAI.
the word institute could be smaller than the rest. it's not our favorite word, but we have 30 years of capital in the name and our board doesn't want to lose it completely.
Thanks!

Great, I'll make some of those changes for you and have some new ideas, too.

nice. definitely like the word institute smaller. don't change anything on that one. have any other ideas?

Sure, I will do more later tonight or in the morning.

I like the red on 37! Is there a way to add Edmond Fine Arts Institute to it somehow?

Logo Designer
Sure, no problem. Thought this would look awesome on a shirt.

Changed to a deep gray because it's important that your logo be artistic and eye-catching in two colors or one color only, and one of those colors should be very dark, ideally black or gray.

#47 shows how to add more color when printing/copying isn't an issue.

This is one of my favorites, my only concern is it might look too visual art focused and leave out performing art. I really don't like theatre masks, but I wonder if there is a way to put something theaterish in the dot on the eye? I don't know, you might have an idea other than faces for theater. Even a smiley face might work. The fact it doesn't incorporate both might be an issue for my board. Thanks

I think I can make something work. Challenge is to make a design that's not too cluttered or too detailed and hard to reproduce well. Let me see what I can do.

I have another idea, what if you used the F and made it look like a silhouette of a person dancing or performing somehow and leave the i alone. Just a thought

I can try that, too. I've been working on one with the masks, but it just looks clunky and junky with this design.

There is another designer telling me I must remove all entries that have a colored dot over the I because they did it first. I'm going to do it because being taken to "logo court" could cause a lot of difficulty in your contest.

Starting with #59, image of dancer/performer inside the "a" and will keep working on variations. I've done it in a style to suggest painting/visual arts.

Like it A LOT! Thank u! I may not be able to rank or work on this much this weekend but please don't remove anything. My board and I will work on it on Monday

Glad I could revise to look more like a paintbrush than before so it won't be a conflict!

#129 and #130 are black and white applications of #70 so you can see how it will reproduce when you are limited to black only.

We meet today to discuss the logo. Currently our board is split on #1 and #2. We need to know if we can modify your design once we get it. if you looked at the Oklahoma City Arts Council logo it will give you an idea of what we are talking about. having the ability to change visual images inside the design to meet our need. example. add a photo inside the paint brush i, or put a picture instead of a person inside the a. Is that an option?
Also will we have access to all the designs you created. like #63, or #59 to use on tshirts or on letter head or one color, etc
Thanks,

No problem at all to provide you with the one and two-color versions by e-mail after the end of the contest, I can send those to you separately. I see the Oklahoma City Arts Council logo, and it's certainly possible to change the image inside the A. FYI, the files you get are EPS and fully editable, so that can be done when you have an image you want to use.

Thanks, I'll share that info when we meet today.

Hi, our committee met and we really liked your #70! Underneath what you have could you incorporate our tagline "Discover Create Perform" below your logo in a font that is more formal and have that wording be extended the width of your logo? Could we also see a variation on a royal blue background, too please? Thank you so much!

Logo Designer
Glad to, look for it in a few minutes.

#150 has the tag line, but I wasn't sure what "formal" is for you (script? serif?) so I used what I think looks good for now. I'll do the other revision this way in blue and you can tell me if you prefer some kind of script or other criteria.

Love it! That's what I was talking about. Now, on the final files, if we chose you, will you send the EPS file, so we could possibly edit what is in the 'a' or the brush tip? Or at least the original file so we can edit it? Thanks!

Logo Designer
Sure, all files are EPS with a JPEG. I also can send the black and white version.
