That's almost it. Thank you so much for your patience so far :) Will let it sink for some time and come back to you if i have any further requests. If you have any ideas in the meantime, let me know.
Hm, as mentioned in #93, the circle looks a bit boring new. And I find the letters in ECHTZEIT a little too tight now - maybe adding one or two pixels more space would help already (esp so one can the a small gap between the T and Z). Also making studios a bit thinner and scaling the height down a bit - but keeping the font size and width - you know what i mean?
Alright. One remark regarding "STUDIOS": would be great if you could make it as tall as the other word so they could also be written in one line if required (for print or whatever).
Nice. Thank you very much for the change! Will have to ask the others what they think about it now. But before hat, I do have two additional requests: could you try make a circle instead of the dots around the whirl? Maybe single color using the dark blue only. To make the logo a bit less complex. And the other thing: Could you reduce the spacing between the letters of ECHTZEIT, so the word is a bit more compact and solid. And also increase the font size of STUDIOS (keep it as thin as it is right now maybe) so the spacing between the letters gets smaller there as well.
I created a survey and sent it out to several people. Unfortunately, nobody voted for this one :( Was my favorite before. Many said that the tornado itself is cool, but three said it looks too oldschool. Do you have any idea how to make it look more modern? Maybe less color-transitions, but more solid colors like you did in the very first draft.
can't find the font ... actually i have found it but it's commercial and seems to be super protected and super copyrighted...
can i use an alternative ? something more or less similar ? it looks a lot like helvetica or frutiger...
Nice one :) I like how the circle and especially the dark blue line at the bottom of the circle produce the impression the whirl is tilted. It looks way more stiff when removing the circle.
Ah, ok, get the idea of the electronic watch now. Neat, but unfortunately, the name is not really readable right this way in my opinion. Also the thin lines at the C and T don't really help. Maybe putting the colon between ECHT and ZEIT would keep the idea and make it more readable?
so, removing the arrow point or the line with the arrow as well?
or: simply use this swirl and the text from #22 ?
the swirl is intended this way, but if you want i can make the spaces equal (although a swirl starts from small to big , and the distances between elements are not equal..:)
Still my favorite somehow :) Was just playing around with it and checked how it looks when removing certain elements. I think this one looks better without the arrow. So as minimal as #22 is, but with the colors and whirl of this version. And a question regarding the whirl: it looks a bit like the lines do not have the same distance to each other. Is this intended or was it just a sketch?
yes...but the whole point was to present the H in negative space as the points from an electronic watch display... a plain H won't convey the same message :)
Don't get me wrong, I like winning (haha who doesn't) but if I win , i'd love a message from you in a few months showing me my logo at work actually... not hidden in a drawer somewhere :)))
Thank you very much for taking the time and the elaborate response! Will stick to the proposed time-frames though, because I want to see whether some other proposals will pop up maybe.
the platform works like this : you open a contest/ 3 phases : open , finalists and selection mode.
there is no limit in changes that you request , and the changes are not dependent of the contests phases.
and you can stop the contest anytime if you already find a logo you like.
only thing is when in open mode i cannot see what other designers are doing, they cannot see my logos. those will be open to public only in finalist phase.
and, if , in time you may need small modifications of the chosen logo, in the copyright transfer document you'll receive from logotournament, there is the email address of the designer, where you can ask for them.
long message, but i tried to explain how it works.
I'm getting to work, make the changes and get back to you in short.
What i do like about this idea though is that the thin line fits really well here and I also like that it enters the circle a bit. Could you maybe alter this as follows to get an alternative to #49: remove the 3 dots that make it look like a stopwatch again. leave the thin line/arrow as is and use the whirlwind from #49 but without connecting it to the thin line.
btw, I am new to that platform and this kind of work-style altogether. let me know if such changes are meant for later phases of the contest.
i understand your point. i'll need a little to sketch it and, if i get to like it i'll present it to you.
but i have to like it myself first haha.
well i intended the small rounded dots to look like a subtle clock :)
i'll get to work.
Nice one. The font looks less nerdy than #19. Looks kind of elegant and sophisticated. Like it. Some more thoughts on it: even though I said that it should not contain a clock, the logo almost looks like one and I think this could turn out good if done more explicitly. Is it possible to create an example where it looks slightly like a stopwhat and the whirlwind is either part of the scale or a hand. And another idea: is it possible to maybe connect the words with the logo itself? e.g. the whirlwind turns into a line between the words or whatever - do you know what i mean? Thank you very much already! :)
Even though I usually prefer all-lowercase, I would stick with the all-uppercase version #22 here. Also because the word Echtzeit starts with a capital E in german.
Yeah, like the whirlwind idea! :) Do not like the Echtzeit font though (esp. the E and the Z). Looks kind of nerdy-techy. Would favor sth more serious.
well...yes hourglass made of an E ans an S (echtzeit studios) .
as a first draft. open to directions :) .
I thought even a clock or an hourglass may be accepted if presented well...
What is the blue logo supposed to illustrate? My first impression was an hourglass which is kind of the opposite i'd like to represent ;) Also not a fan of the font for "Echtzeit" to be honest, doesn't really look modern/techy to me.

Again, if you have a preferred font (to follow your branding direction) i'll be happy to use it .
