All: We like them very much, the pictorial express well enough the combination of book+evocation. It's a very good starting point. A general modification: can you remove the glossy/shaded background and use a flat one? it will help to perceive the logo naked without distractions.

#50: It was good, but as soon we saw it we thought on asking you to remove the lines of the right page. Before we wrote you, you submitted the next proposal. So we discarded it.

#52: May be you thought that the white page looked too empty, but the square inside looks strange. May be you could fill it with some lines representing lines of text.

#51:This version looks better. Just a question: Why the right page has a small tail at bottom? What is its meaning? Can you swap the pages, that is that the "evocated page" was the right one instead of the left one?

thanks very much!

Hi OcH@, we are very glad with your last proposal #61. Definitively turning the book to the right is the best option. And the addition of the three pages improved even more the icon.

We would like to try some minor changes in order to lock the pictorial: could you tweak very slightly the sizes and positions of the flying squares? just polish a bit the icon in order to get the best from it.

thanks very much!

We clearly prefer when the squares are in perspective, so we discarded #69.

It's not easy to choose between #67 and #68, may be the first one because it's more colorful.

But although we like very much the added tiny squares of #67 and #68, may be you have added too many squares, loosing the simplicity of the #61. May be you could add 2 or 3 tiny squares at the upper right corner of #61, but we are sorry to ask you to spent so much time with these small details.

Additionally, could you test #61 and #68 in solid black and white without the name? We want to test the quality of them as naked logo in the hardest conditions, to choose which one is the best.

thanks very much!

#77: It helped to know that we prefer the simpler logo, so we discard that one, thanks for the effort.

#76: Very nice, you added two small squares (top right and top left) and modified another (adding perspective). We like the result very much, we will just ask you some tiny change: 1) remove the top left square added to #76, and 2) move up the top right square a bit. You can see these both modifications at: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4760830/ebookation_square_added.jpg

When done that, your logo will be finished, now we must just polish the composition and the font:

1) The icon over the name looks well for the spine of the book, but at the header of the website will look better the icon at the left of the name. Can you try this composition?

2) Can we see some variations of the font? We like the current one, but we would like to chose among several similar fonts, that is, fonts also rounded and friendly.

thanks very much, sincerely.

About the fonts:
#92: Discarded, too modern/technology, we prefer to to highlight the tecnology side of the business.
#91, 89: Discarded, too round and modern, probably better for a sport or web 2.0 trademark :)
#90: Your original selection, we like it, it's friendly but its shape it's "precise and well defined", we like these connotations with our logo. We would like this font but with an "open a" (see #91) instead of a "closed a" (see #89). [more info http://www.identifont.com/identify?2+a+A0+L+M ]

About the composition:

#90: May be the logo should be a bit smaller? taller than the name but not so much. And probably this will cause to separate a bit the logo and the name (now are a bit sticked).

Please, can you update #61 with the additional small square, in order to have both final versions? (the horizontal one and the vertical one)

thanks very much, we appreciate your will to polish these small details.

Try another idea to incorporate the initial of e to the book
I want to make pictorial more stand alone and more easily recognizable but not generic :)

Hi OcH@,

#128: we agree with your target to increase its identity, but we don't like the use of "E" in the logo, sadly the "e" of "e-mail, e-shopping, e-book"... is also too generic . So we would prefer to stress the identity on the "evocation" part of the book of the logo.

#126: we like it very much, I think that we must take this one and work more on it. We think that this idea is great, it just need to be polished the realization of this idea. Two aspects that you could improve:

1) if we focus just on the logo (without the name), the book looks slightly unbalanced to the left. May be the book should be rotated very lightly clockwise, or may be the lower bound of the right page should be lower? we are not sure about the solution.

2) some lines of the logo are too thin, eg. the separation between the three left pages, and it would look bad if printed very small. It would be great if you could "simplify" a bit the lines of the book.

These are just suggestions, take them with a pinch of salt. Thanks!
