Thanks very much for your proposal, they are really beautiful and simple. We have "sinked" the horizontal versions and some of the shaded ones, just to focus on the best four.
#98: The shade on the font makes the name a bit blur, we like more the flat white names.
#98, #101, #102, #104: No comments about the logo, they are almost perfect. But we don't like the selected font (too runic or celtic, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runic_alphabet), specially the "K". Can you select ohter kind of fonts? classical but not too sharp?
IMPORTANT: Please the name is not "ebookNation" but "ebookation", remove the "N", :)
It is not easy to choose among your proposals, but finally we have chosen #110. We prefer that the "flying squares" be at the right side, and that the "globe" was in the oposite side than the squares.
From #110, we would like you to work on variations of the "flying squares". They are nice, but they suggests "fragmentation" or "digitalization", that's not necessarily bad, but it would be great if they suggested more the spiritual side of "evocation". It's not easy to explain, but it's clear that you have a lot of experience and you will get it.
Hi IdeazDen, we have clear some variables: we like, that the left page be white and over a green rounded square, that the right page was green and include the flying squares. And in the black&white version, we like that both pages were of the same color (both white, or both black).
So, let's focus on #132, and let's try to improve the "evocation effect". We think that the clue is on two changes:
1) the flying squares should overlap with the right page, and slightly between themselves. So they are not bits of the page, but the essence of the page.
2) the flying squares should combine different sizes, bigger the lower, and smaller the upper squares, like an evaporation of the scent, like s light smoke.
Please, it would be great if you could improve just that part of the logo, Thanks.
Errata: the point 2) of the previous comment is wrong. Or the lower squares start small and increase in size when they go up, or just ignore this point and follow only the point 1).
Although #146 now includes overlaping squares it has increased in complexity because it's the same but with more tiny squares. The problem is that the result doesn't look like some evaporated substance from the book, but small bits of a broken page.
Probably we are not explaining ourselves well enough, may be the language barrier makes it difficult. Your logo is very good, but it's a pity that the "evocation" images is not present, we encourage you to re-read our previous comments and to work a bit more on it to offer us a few alternatives, please, do your best, because it's almost finished.
Hi Dennis, thanks very much to spend more time following our suggestions. Some of them look more as "evocation", but they miss the simplicity of your first proposal #132. So, we have decided to prioritize the simplicity of a beautiful logo over our "whishlist".
Please, could you give us the following full versions of #132:
- With colors and gradient effects (as #107) - With flat colors (as #146) - Black over white background - White over black background
In short, just different applications of the final logo #132.
