I like the tree and hands in both. I like the use of our full name in both. I like how #2 has everything in the logo but it might be a bit difficult to read if it's small. Taking out the "EDCS" at the top of #1 would make that logo much better. Maybe putting the name underneath the logo might look good. I like the softer colors in #1 and the use of the tag line.
