Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.
The logo is 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
#68 is slick... very slick. How does it look without the gradient? How does it look with the gradient but without the dark outline on the pixels coming off of the D?
I'm a fan of #69. I like the concept of the icon with the C and it's font. Not a fan of the outlined D- I like how's it's white, I get where you're going, but the line to the left of it bothers me. :) Any way to improve it?
Great work! We're excited to see what you can do. :)
I don't want to influence it too much... you certainly have gone in the right direction.
What if the color of the text "DoubleClick" was the same color as the words "Double", and the text "Detroit" was boxed in the same color green that "Click" currently is? Would that break the design? Just thinking outloud.
No problems at, will work with the design and colours ... I do however think that putting "Detroit" in a coloured box will through of the balance of the logo slightly. And also doing this will make my logo too similar to subzero's entry - which might be construed as copying.
But that said I think making DoubleClick all one colour and balancing the layout by making Detroit a colour from the icon would work nicely.
Entry #78 - no gradient, and just solid colour ... Entry #79, #80, #81 - just the main gradient, different colours, and DoubleClick in one colour, Detroit highlighted
Then the other concept ... Entry #82 and #83 - I've removed the side bar, enlarged the C, changed the pixel dots, and also made the text as per the other entries.
#78, #79, #80, #81 WE love, love, love. They're perfect. Perfect for the ability to swap the colors... thank you.
I've placed #80 as the first pick. Feel free to remove #78, #79 and #81 as I would hate to place them at a lower rank as I just need one of them to put in first place slot.
Let's pursue #83 a little bit more. Some on the team are not a fan. I, however, see potential. Can we explore removing the pixels closing off the D outline (maybe completely) and letting it get cut off by that gray line below? Does that make sense?
Fantastic work! We are very pleased with your entries!
Great! I think getting rid of the pixel blocks may help with the creativity. We had our reservations about initially putting that in the description. It's worked in some cases, and not in others.
Please feel free to remove #92 and #91. Not sure if it hurts your ranking by placing it in the "Not interested" column as these are other variations of the same logo.
Sorry for the delay - I'd already turned off for the evening here in London :) Here (#138) is a new iteration of this concept, with the icon above the text.
First of all, you are very talented. Great versatility.
#203 is an excellent option. Really like the direction. Can we explore having Dc instead of cD for the emblem. Curious to see if that will work. Thanks.
Thank you for the kinds words, I very much appreciate that :)
Let me see what I can do of course, but just to clarify something - #203 is actually a lowercase d connected to the stem of an uppercase D then split at the top ... "dD".
Ok... that makes sense. Do you think that the text "doubleClick" should reflect the lowercase "d"? If that's the case, and I'm thinking outloud here, the text should probably all be lowercase for "doubleclick".
You're the artist, let's see what you think and what you'll be able to do. :)
Hope your having a good weekend so far? Here are a few new variations of this design ... each one trying different options with the fonts (upper and lower) and also different placement of the icon.
