#9 is really nice and what I'm looking for. The "Dog Tag Heroes gets lost, though. Can it be outlined somehow? Our tagline also gets lost. Is there a way to make it pop without overpowering the great icon you created?
Definitely like #9 better. I like the weathered look of the "Dog Tag Heroes" but I don't like how the text just fades into the background, like at the top of the "T". Can there be a red stroke or something around the text to give them weight w/o losing the weathered look. Plus I like the font in #9 better. I much prefere the subtlety of our tagline in #9, which is just pretty and the format is mostly a square, which I didn't even know I wanted. #9 is still first place for me now.
sorry about the bleeding - I was just a bit too lazy to fix it before I knew that we were communicating what you were asking for... I can clean it up a bit more but want to wait a bit - got to stop for today...
#9 has stuck in our minds since the beginning. It is simple and says what we want. While I initially liked the red around the text I think it detracts from the entire piece.
I just love it, and I can see it on drinking glasses and other merchandise.
Will you work in www.dtheroes.org somehow that does not detract from your piece.
Thank you so much for this design; I really love it.
We are not sure if we want the web address on the logo or not. Do you have an opinion as to if it should be there? I look forward to your response tomorrow.
you will need to use your web address on some things but, personally I don't think it should be "part" of the official logo. Kind of like the phone number. You would probably put it on your mugs, pens, note pads etc that we can have made for you - but on your website the web address is sort of redundant ... and of course on letterhead and business cards it needs to be there but not incorporated INTO the design. my thoughts.
ps businessbuilders is a promotional product company and specializes in putting logos on merchandise.
You are right about the logo and the web url. I like the curved url more than the straight one, but it sure changes the logo. But there are times we would want it there. I guess that is why you're the professional.
The Board likes the distress leve as it is in #9.
Will this read equally as well on a drinking glass, business card, video, t-shirt, etc.?
I know you are debating between which look is best for your organization. I would love to have the opportunity to quote on the promotional logoed merchandise you mention as businessbuilders primary business is in that field.
I don't know the propriety of such things, and I was afraid to ask you for a quote. But if you are as easy to work with as you have been I'd love to make contact outside this area. Are you at businessbuilders.com? Just so you know were spending most of our merchandise budget on the logo--worth every penny, I know!
If we chose your logo will get the version with and without the url address and the name of the fonts that you use so we can incorporate them in our web site and other places?
We will upload the one selected, once it is approved then we will send you versions in different formats with and without the web address... one in a single color for when you might need to engrave it - short answer yes you will get different formats after the contest.
