This is really in a three-way tie for first place. Love the logo concept, and love the type.
Wondering if we can try a slight variation...
- Slightly heavier type - especially on the "THE" - Change the scale slightly so the "book" is a little larger/thicker - Try some variations on the "rays" coming out of the book. Maybe different styles, or "white" rays rather than black.
Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you like the direction I'm heading. I've uploaded a coupl more designs, tried to incoroprate the changes you suggested. If you need further changes please let me know I'll be happy to adjust the design.
Thanks for all the great options. We still like #103 the best. Really like the type, but again, I think the word "THE" needs a little more weight. Would like to see some other font options as well, but love the way the words are set.
The symbol still feels a little too fragile. Maybe it just needs to be slightly larger in relation to the type.
Thinking we might like to see two more variations...
- #103 with adjustments to the type as mentioned above, slightly larger symbol, and different "rays" as discussed. Not sure what the rays should look like, but maybe something styled more like entry #96
- #105, but remove the "arch" above the book. And then apply all the same comments as above (type, rays, etc).
- Type is great, but still wish the word "THE" was set bolder, so the weight could be consistent with the other words.
- Can we see a "simple" variation? for this, let's remove the circular gradient so the mark is more simple. Would also like to add a thicker white stroke to the inside of the frame (like you have done in 152, but even thicker). This will make printing, etc easier because the colors will not trap into each other.
- Would also like the rays to be just slightly thicker/fatter (so they are not so sharp/skinny).
- For the "non-simple" variation, prefer that we remove the circular gradient and instead do a "glass reflection" treatment like option #113. The client loves this effect.
- Love both the self-contained fame of 148, and the separate bible/frame of 152. It might be more obvious in 152 that the bottom of the frame is an open bible, but something is bugging me about how the sides of the frame meets the bible. Maybe instead of being squared off, the ends of the frame should follow the contours of the bible pages. Just an idea. What do you think?
I made the a little bolder, but it will be impossible to get it as thick as the other letters and still look good. Made the white box inside the frame bigger.
Hello again. Yours is still our favorite concept, however our client can't get past the "the" butting up against the "bible" image. Needs to be smaller or something.
Maybe make the "butt" look more like a "book" like this one....
Almost closing but I managed to make some adjustments. Not enough time to produce the book you mentioned, but I'm also not sure what you meant with it. About our little "The": you can ofcourse change fonts, boldness and positioning until your completely satisfied, that won't be too hard to arrange. Rigth now I did the following: I've made one with "the" the same size as "Bible", and one smaller. aligned it both to the logo, but that can ofcourse be enlarged. I've also made two variations with a frame outside of the logo and the text, with the outline of the bible merging with the inside, creating a bible suggestion more than an actual bible. Needless to say any aspect of one of the entries can be combined with others.
Thanks for the extensive feedback and it was great working for you. Best regards, Peter
