Need the dogs to have a bolder, tougher appearance. I appreciate the fact you are taking stitch count into account. I need the dog to portray more toughness and grit. I am ok with your color schemes. These dogs are cute. If you can capture the toughness aspect I think you would be heading in right direction.

they would need to take the gradient out of the bat to simplify.

baseball focus in diamond background - but will take more stitches for this.

playful dogs - simple for low stitch count.

Hope you will take designs to your embroidery supplier to see which will work best... stitch count makes a big difference in cost on this application.
