What would this look like on a white background?

The logo doesn't quite work because it is really "dbB"

Perhaps a variation of "dDb" which sill has symmetry?

You are right about dbB lettermark but I was perciving the second "b"
like mirror reflection of the "d" rather. But if this is misleading I will try to come up with
something new and will surely test your direction..

As per your first comment - all logos but one are on the white background so
I presume you mean entry #8
