I think 51 is the top pick now. I'm discussing with someone and wondering how we can make it less looking like sound waves. I like it, but I'm not sure 100%.
Here's what I always wanted for the logo, and the name of the company in the first place. I wanted a word that meant light and sound, since movies are essentially just that. I settled on Diffusion after a LOT of other, better, words and phrases were taken that spoke of light and sound. Diffusion spoke to light passing through diffusion material, and to a message or messages being transmitted. But I don't want the transmission theme to be too too obvious. What you have going feels like sound waves, and perhaps if we "diffused" the name diffusion we'd be there. But some other kind of alternative version would be nice to see also.
The design I have I don't have a link to. Is there a dropbox I can share or an ftp you have I can upload to...?
In other words, if you could take the top ranked versions ((( DIFFUSION ))) and the one with the waves coming off the "i"...and put them on a diffuse background, that would be great. I think then we're close. That's light and sound, which is what I'm after. Tricky part is: it works with white letters on black, but how do you do black letters on white? Meaning, how do you make a white background look diffuse? Varying degrees of white I assume?
I would like to see, if you don't mind too much, seeing those waves coming off an "I" instead of an "i" just to see how that looks. And perhaps with the same angle, plus the waves heading straight up from the "I".
Just seeing your notes above by the way. The tuning fork, yeah, perfect concept but visually I didn't love it. Going to take a second look. But very creative! Feshoom, right over my head. Again though, that's just sound, I want light and sound, the essence of what a film/movie is.
I like the tuning fork but I don't like the "play" button. Too internet media player esque. Wondering what that version would look like on a glowing circular background though, like the other versions...
#128 incorporates diffusion into the letters themselves which is pretty clean. Like to see that version minus the side ((( ))) and have instead the waves coming off the I.
#128 can you make the diffusion less 'top to bottom' and more soft throughout? as is it seems a bit stripey...should look like a sign light source is behind the DIFFUSION letters, that it's towards the middle of the letters, and that the letters are cut out of diffusion, softening the light...
