Hello - Thank you for taking the time to review my entries.

My first entry is a path to a horizon. I thought this was a nice subtle reference to the sun that you seem to like, while the path is representative of the journey to potential. That is where the bright future represented by the sun actually lies...at the end of this path...who's way is paved by some extent by your company.
The simple clean icon will work well vertically stacked as well as horizontally.

Please feel free to provide any additional advice or feedback. It is always helpful and appreciated.

I was sitting here trying to come up with something to set my concepts apart from the rest, which is hard to do in such a large pool of good designers. Here is my latest idea. I think it captures ALL of the elements that you desired in an uncluttered way.

1. The icon itself is of a human figure that also becomes the path to the horizon. The head is the sun. The body id the path. The arms are the horizon line. The rays double as sunlight on the horizon and intellegent thought from the person.

2. The word mark contains a play in the "i" and "e" The "i" appears to be thinking or dreaming about the "e"...this represents emotional thought. I think this can be used by itself in all honesty.

Please feel free to offer any feedback that you may have. I have some other variations on this theme that I will submit shortly.
Thanks!

Here is another shape. I ALSO changed the "e" to look like it is smiling. This indicates and emotional response. This can be done on the previous designs as well.
