I also think the font for laura coffey logo is fun and fresh.

what's ur idea behind the long y? is it for seperation?

in ur twoMamas logo u used the 2 hands beautifully. could u try and make them look more like 2 lips and use them similarly?

per your request - yes the longer tail on the y is to provide a balance for the tag line and the web address.
a lot of text for a logo.

I agree, it's alot of text for a logo. which do u think is more important-website or tagline? maybe just use one at a time??

please be more specific about what you want different about the lips - shape. color. what?

I'm not so sure. maybe more slender and different color. I dunno, maybe a black outline only or brown?
any suggestions? and maybe lose the tagline and just the website.

I would like the logo to be simple and clean. not sure how?

thought the purple/blue would be better than grey for the lips
