#19 - I like the "D" here, but not the up and down set up. In general, I prefer the logo to be left to right. #18 - I like your style, but I don't like the line through the letters, nor white lettering in the boxed blue field. #17 - I like the overall style but don't like the line through the letters.
#17 was well received. Panelists wanted to see another color (slightly brighter blue?) mixed in to brighten the entry. They also were curious to see a left to right DFM - Davis Financial Management to compare to this up and down version. #19 Again well received, but an additional color or slight style tweak in the D would "finish" the logo, in some panelists minds.
To this point we have selected you as one of the five finalists. To help you shape the designs further, I offer these points about Who we are and what we do:
We are a comprehensive financial planning and asset management firm. The nature of our business is working with real people and real problems to create ways to fulfill their dreams and aspirations. We do this through a process of counsel, guidance, planning, implementing, and supporting. The theme of our business is to build upon traditional and foundational financial planning, savings, and investment concepts (building blocks) through fresh, innovative, and modern methods. We build upon the “old” while utilizing the cutting edge opportunities of today.
Our logo should be secure, confident, and straightforward while connecting the old and the new. Hopefully this will help you in creating and refining the logo designs.
Most of our panelists prefer #17 and #85 but like the color of #82 through #85. Panelists would like to see some varied designs based on #17 and #85.There is some concern that the blue could get too bright, yet no one wants a a dull blue. We like how you used a fade in with the bright blue and wonder if that could be enhanced. We encourage your creativity in offering alternatives to #17 and #85.
Thanks for your entries! focusing on #85 and #164. Looking for a modification for comparison. Each logo should tell a story and say something meaningful about our firm, while combining elements that are central to what we do (see previous post). An example might be combining solid and safe with new and innovative.
For both #164 and #85 Looking for an option using this concept, but using the DFM or D (or some other inspired logo) as watermark BEHIND Davis Financial Management. Example: http://www.gerrityandco.com/
In addition to the blue/grey color scheme, please try this option: taupe/ grey/ black/ brown
Hi! Thanks for your most recent revision. A few of them are very interesting.
The contest has been extended one day. If you have any final ideas, you can now respond to my previous post and submit revisions. I will check back as frequently as possible over the next 24 hours.
