I liked the multicolor scheme better.

I wasn't thinking different levels for each boundary, just the whole boundary square elevated into more of a cube than a plane to give dimension to where the words are along the sides. So, flat on top but just elevated to provide a side where the words would sit. Hope that makes sense.

making the 'boundaries' different levels will make the design more busy and you may run into the same issues again... I will play with it a bit. do you want the multi color or the more subtle color scheme?

All ideas at this point are good ones, reworking the old one or brand new ideas. That's why I included what we currently have.

This is a good starting point. Couple of thoughts...

Could we do a different font, something more modern?

And if we go with the 3d look where the text goes in different directions, can we make the school boundaries thicker with a height dimension instead of a flat plane? Maybe put the tagline on two lines to allow the font size to be increased?

a rework of the current concept... not sure if that is what you wanted or a completely new idea.
