Hi David, considering the grunge/steampunk feeling that you want for your logo, I have made some research on steampunk, and collected some references. Monocles/googles, high hats, and mustaches/beards where among others typical for the genre. So I came up with this design, which has a monocle like a camera lens, grunge effect as a background the hat and the mustache.

Thanks, Kostas

Oh and forgot to mention the woodcut style of the guy.

I am liking this- but I think I am more interested in something with gears and or cogs rather than the hat and face. I worry it will confuse the viewer as to what I am selling, and I don't want it to be pinpointed to the hat so much. So, gears I guess. I do like the wood cut and the grunge!

#36 New take on your logo. Gears and a gear camera lens to give emphasis on what you are doing some grim around for aesthetics. I was thinking about the guy with the hat and the mustache cause you said is maybe misleading on what you sell. I think that a branding is what YOU will make out of it at the end, maybe with the gears for example they will think that you are selling watches, or you repair stuff. Thats why I am saying that branding is what you make out of it. A logo should be unique and memorable in my opinion, there are thousands maybe millions of photographers out there and you want to stand out.

#38 maybe the frame of the gears was to thin fro printing, added also some thickness to the word "photographs", and some "grunginess" at your name's font.

#51 I might want the bottom of the image to mirror the dome on the top somewhat rather than two lines coming to a point in the middle. Also, I think the grunge (etching, fading might need to be toned back a bit.) I do like it thought!

#53 What do you think about that?

I think the #53 has now bit of steampunk, more woodcut, and bit of grunge. The letters are toward rock'n'roll.
Vintage style overall.

#53 I think I will change the font of "photographs", maybe something with more character.

#53 It was very difficult to choose a final artist for my logo. I really loved your designs and I think they are excellent but in the end, I think it was more detailed than I needed. I really appreciate what you did for me and I hope that you can save it and modify it for a future contest. It is a really cool design, but I went with a different one that I think is going to work better. Thanks again! Kind regards, David
