Too feminine, huh? Well, it's hard to know these days! Especially with women law school grads outnumbering men. At any rate, here's a more masculine version of the letterform mark -- new lettering, new color.
Here's another option with a letterform mark. Hopefully you don't think of this as feminine -- i used a signature type lettering for the initials. I incorporated a circle since you seem interested in that kind of shape. This seems a little more abstract, even though it uses the initials.
Hi, I thought I would submit a few color variations on the logo that you currently have ranked at the top. This way, if you like the general style but aren't certain of the color treatment, these will give you some additional options.
On entry number 9, can you make the leg of the "p" slightly shorter so it does not go all the way to the bottom of the circle? Leave the "D" as it is please.
Our problem is that it is kinda spider like, so can you try a second one where neither the "D" nor the "P" goes all the way to the cirlce edge? We are hoping that a color change may make it less spider like.
Perhaps a charcoal? Steel grey? Maroon?
On all of them please take out the AND and replace it with an ampersand.
On #106 can you either lower the font of the firm name or increase the size of the circle and have the tag line be one line on the same plane as the bottom of the circle?
Hi Denise. These changes aren't painful at all! If I thought that, I wouldn't design logos! I did exactly what you asked, putting the tagline on the same plane as the bottom of the circle for both #102 and #106, but I also thought you might like to see it with the circle slightly taller than the wordmark and tagline together. I'm not sure what your preference will be, but I thought you'd like to have the option to compare. With the circle larger, the tagline isn't in line with the bottom of it, but I thought when they were the same height, it made the circle look smaller than it really is. So, you have options! Here they come...
And in case you're not aware, the designer ranked #1 when the contest ends can still upload changes during the judging process. So if that happens to be me, I will still be able to tweak it for you after the contest ends today. I won't be able to do so until this evening, however.
YAH, I got nervous not knowing that tweeks can be done after the contest ends, so I extended it for 2 days. This is the first time I have ever used this site. :)
I'm not sure you need to be nervous! I just wanted you to know that when you settle on a design, you can ask the no. 1 ranked designer for a little fine-tuning before you end the judging process. Since you extended the contest, though, are there any other changes you'd like to see from me?
It's already done, Denise! See Entry #155. I made all those variations you requested, and now my entries page is flooded with so many similar images, that it must be difficult for you to rifle through them. I'll remove the ones that have the tagline on two lines for you, since it's clear you're not interested in that. And I'll take away the ones that have the glass effect (the line separation) because I know you're partial to the gradient. On the rest, you can mark "not interested" on the variations you don't like to narrow it all down -- if you want to.
Hi Lindsey: I have ranked you number one.......can you please close the "R" and make the tail of the "D" closer (i.e. close it in) a little bit more and can you make the ampersand Blue please
Denise, here are the changes you requested. The first has the closed R and the slightly closed D. The next one will have an entirely closed D for comparison.
