Our inspiration was the vintage 1930s american pride posters. We chose a typeface that conveyed a solid feel but approachable. We incorporated patriotic colors to carry the theme of "D.C.". We counterbalanced the beautiful type of "D.C. Farm to School" with a nostalgic script for the word "week".
We again carried the theme of Washington D.C. with the monument. Behind the monument there is greenery which acts as both a foliage and a bed of greens upon which the fresh apples rest on.
Next we incorporated sun rays to add drama and importance while projecting an optimistic feel to the message.
Designing a logo is more than a pretty picture. It is about delivering a message. What do you want the customers to feel? We wanted it to resonate with the viewer, to establish an emotional connection.
Thank You.
