Entry # 7 is on the right track. Like CYC on top ENGINEERING on the bottom. Like earth. Don't like the grey ring around the icon. Need the gear incorporated with that blue circle around earth and make the nautical star a little more modern.

Looking good. I like #16 best. Go a little lighter on the dark grey gear and try some different arrows on the nautical star.
