Here are three possibilities for you...staying along the same feel as the Autism logo, this is a top view of the brain in a stylized form and in a circle format for the pin.
I can modify these for you, let me know your thoughts.
Here are these 2....#159 #160 I tweak the illustration just slightly to clean up the edges Let me know after you see these if you want to put this font on the circle or if you want it a little bolder, all black or black on your name and another color on 'support network'. I will try a serif font also and upload that for you this afternoon.
I appreciate this, and will be looking for your comments.
the illustration now seems disconnected from the lettering - we have four words to describe the journey of a brain injury - any ideas on how to connect it again? without the name of the organization going around it? something else?
I think the font for our name should be bolder, and we like having the ct be a different color than the rest
It needed to be unified with the colors in your name. I gave various arrangements in the colors and layout and made your name bolder...do you want to see another type of font? Maybe a script on the 'support network'?
I changed up the colors some in two parts...to indicate left brain/right brain
I can go back to your name with space and all one color, there are many possibilities and will send you more varieties... I need to leave for about an hour and will check back for your comments. Thank you!!
Okay, let me see what I can do....would you like to see this in a circle format again? I think that a pin, if it is a circle this would be able to float in the center and have room to be sized large.
I will work on it this evening for you...will try to have something in a couple of hours.
Here are these variations for you. I changed the colors depending on the backgrounds if they were black or white...the background, especially on your pins could have a solid color background but the colors on your name and brain would need to be adjusted to be vibrant.
Also added the circle to unify the design. Fonts may still be changed, thought you might like to see a serif font instead but can change it back to the previous font used.
Different layout arrangements may be used on various applications...you could use the circle on the pin and use the horizontal on other printing and your website.
I will be on for another hour or two this evening....if you would like to see some adjustments on any of these let me know.
You talked about using your initials...that is a possibility also, but for quick long term recognition it would help greatly if at a glance if your name was immediately associated with your cause.
If you are going to have some interchanging type on these then the initials would be good but the extra space is always be needed to spell it out.
Also, to let you know the full area of black or any other color are only representative of what it would look like in your applications with a that color background...each variation will need to be reformatted in the file but it is typical and easy to do.
On your note to 'expand into the entire pin/logo' I'm trying to understand what you are asking...there is no problem I will be happy to do that for you if you could explain a little more.
Oh...if you are asking to expand the image to the full edges of the LT layout...the rules won't allow that...but I can put a rectangle or square and float it to give the same layout...let me try to see if that is what you want.
I thought I would take a chance...let me know, I will be signing off in about 30 mins, if you leave your notes before then I will work on this for you.
For 173 lets change the blue, it seems a little drab compared to the other colors in the illustration?
175 and 176 do give me an idea of how the logo would look if it filled the space a bit more, thank you.
The shape of the pin will be determined by the logo we choose, we are open.
I liked the pretty playfulness of the design originally -116, somehow I feel like I am moving you away from that, thought about it last night, we do want something pretty, we have been leaning towards supportive hands, can you try an illustration like that? Really are not crazy about any of the "hands" anyone has done so far, would like them to either be cupped up, as in a supportive gesture........or opening, as in releasing something. Thank you for all your information, it's helpful! Elaine
Just looked at your portfolio again, love the sloane farm logo, one idea I had was to have a row of various height cupped supportive hands, would need to show some of the arm as well to make it work I think, either under or over our name? I haven't seen anything like that so if you don't think it will work at all, don't waste your time on it and let me know, I've never done this before so I will understand!
Really love the buffalo looking through the lens! Wish brain injury had something like that to signify it!
I will be happy to try the hands and arms holding your name...I actually may already have something similar that was never sold that I can make adjustments to it, don't think it is in my portfolio for you to see it though. I will see if I can find it and open it up reinstate it for you to see.
The buffalo concept actually was the CHs idea, we all just used our method to support it...it's a fun logo.
I will be on and off all day and will get something to you along your request as soon as possible. It is important for you to have a logo that is yours and one that you are thrilled with. Sometimes it takes a many experiments but eventually with time, it happens, that's the truth.
Here are these...I couldn't open up the entries on the other contest because it had been a private contest
But I reworked them for you for you to see. It would be too busy to work in the cranium along with the different hands, but to consider for immediate association with you, something that hasn't been used would have more impact....
I could try to tweak the outline of the brain to be more physically precise if that would help.
I will check back off and on...but if you know me if I don't step away I can design all day and not pay attention to the time flying by :-)
I agree about the cranium, and no, don't make it more realistic - that's pretty much what everyone else does. Lets move away from the dar background, want it to be more upbeat, from the portfolio you have can you use colors similar to the sloane farm logo and go back to the white background? I do like the idea of more than one supportive hand, am I allowed to tell you if I like the style of one of the other designers hands and which one it is? It's hard to describe things!! I'm leaning towards more than one pair of hands, lets work on that without the cranium. Thank you!
I will start to work on this for your in about an hour or two and upload it to you but it has many colors but will pick colors that compliment your design from Sloane colors
Are you referring to working on design #184 and not #167 with a white background or both of these?
It isn't necessary to rank these if I know which ones you are referring to...just when your contest is completed, you will need to pick different designers for the Top 3.
I appreciate your input, it will help me get to what you envision!
I think I am thinking of a more fine art style, the logos that I see that I really like seem to be don't that way.
What I see is at least three/four sets of partial forearms and hands- the hands upward. The arms meet at the wrists and extend upward with fingers shaped as if supporting something, the hands and arms could also overlay each a bit, and I envision varying heights, but lots of support being given so I like the idea of more hands/support rather than less.
Where the name goes I am not sure, maybe the arms/ hands are supporting it....haven't gotten that far
My internet has interference right now..I'm on my phone... I've been sketching an illustration on paper that is very close to what you are describing. 2 hands 1holding the wrist of other and a heart is nestled in their palms. I will work on the computer in the morning and get it converted to upload for you. Wish there was a way to show rough sketches before work is done.t For the pin and a unified layout the format needs to be round or stacked horizontally. once you go into the Judging mode only 1st place may submit entries I will check back in morning Ha e a great evening
I did capture what you are asking...hope so. The only thing it is w a heart in the hands as they come together. Your name would be too small and/or lost if it is in the hands. Let me know if you would like the circle format.
I did the illustration for you but can't upload it now that you went into judging mode...I don't know if I can stay on for long this morning... If you want to see it if you would move me back into 1st just long enough. But I would like it if you were on the site so I can remove it after you see it...it is only a black outline right now.
Thank you! Now these need more work, it primarily is to see if you like the illustration, and if the style could be a little more brush style, if you like.
The colors can all be rearranged or substituted for others.
I have another one to submit but can't get to that right now...possible in about an 1 or 2 hours.
If you would let me know if you like these...what I will do is omit the one with just the black outline since it is incomplete...the others I think I can leave them if you like it...the style can be more like this with brush color or I can do solid color fills.
Im not sure what more "brush style" means! the colors could more playful, fun? please give me some idea of what brush style means so I can respond to that? I don't think you need more hands, lets work on this - thank you!
I need to be offline for a little over an hour and will check back before I leave. If I miss you, will be back to upload this evening but can't unless in 1st. You can move designs as you need to.
