I'm just excited and grateful for your contest, this bring me a joy and I loves the energy when you asked me something to do, I've no matter with the polling results...just keep my fingers crossed.
I will be offline in the next 12 hours for 3-4 days, need doing a thing that is important to me, so I apologize if it seems I can't provides maximum effort, for the next few days.
IF later there is anything I can do, please send me a message on this site, or if you just say, I love to do, whenever needed.
Hope you get this before time ends. Just noticed those bottom 4 words are barely legible at the ends. Perhaps better if same hue/color/weight all the way across -- only for those 4 words. Black and white background versions... Thank you!!
You know what? It's just too much isn't it? The "art" is the Bolt specialized section so adding the head takes it over the top. Let's not use this. Your other one is better. I sincerely thank you for trying this out though!
Do we need a neck? Could the chin be round and just curve into the horizontal line? Yes, this means lowering it too overall in relation to the rest of the design.
Let's round the top shape of the head piece instead of angular. I like the nose as-is.
Your horizontal lines used to be more wispy / lighter at the ends. I think they better reflect the Bolt script that way.
Overall message: Simplify simplify everything except the Bolt lettering and the star burst.
Also, please go more yellow on the yellow-orange color. As yellow tinged as you can go without losing clarity on a white background.
I thought about this one for a while before typing feedback. I hope it helps. I do like it and thank you!
I'm hoping you can submit the above before the contest ends. It was the expressiveness of Bolt that sold me so I don't want to lose it. I feel like the expressive star of energy can both reflect and balance it somewhat. All other lines can be simple.
Ok we're almost there, Trinova. All of the lines there, however, are too busy for me. A few ideas:
~ If the head piece was slightly lower, part of the "c" and maybe even "cr" could be inside part of it's head portion. In fact, what if the "c" was purposely almost centered inside and go from there with the rest of the lettering?
~ With that noted, let's remove so much of the lines and clean it up a bit. Do we need all of that top line going across the top? I'd argue "some" but no need to to all the way. I think putting the head where I asked will speak to you and go with what you feel. Simplify.
~ If that's the case, then the 4 words below could be slightly larger as they spread more across the bottom. I also think you won't have to have the "B" flowing over the "n" of creation anymore either. You'l have more room.
~ Please experiment with giving the same weight to the head sparkle as the weight used for "Bolt". I don't think we need to worry about a bolt anymore for this design.
I realize we only have a few hours left, but please experiment with simplifying this. I feel like my suggestions have taking away from your first version of this.
Feedback to site: I wish we could more directly interact with the artists. Maybe from this point forward they could ask questions that we could answer without a design proposal? Maybe a chat app? Don't know.
Please see my notes for #254. Oh wow, I just realized these blues and yellow-golds are very close to what I'm after. I think the yellow-orange is close to perfect really. I still think the blue needs to go slightly lighter/brighter or it would be loss on a dark background.
Let's please go with a horizontal design of symbol to the LEFT of the lettering. This Tiered look would work well for T shirts though so please keep on file should you win the contest.
The art style you use for the head with your Script version need not match the head shape you use for this one. Your lettering here is bolder and more blockish than your Script one, so maybe the lines you use for the art/symbol can reflect that. What do you think when you piece it together? I'll look at your choice.
Ok, I like that the top of the head is back on, but it still appears as if the person's head is sliced open. Please present it as a full regular head.
It doesn't have to be a light bulb. It could "suggest" a light bulb if you like without looking like an obvious one. (Those types of bulbs in the real world are on their way out.) I'll leave the scale of the "lightening bolt 'like' shape" to you once you remove those interior lines I noted above.
Idea: There could be 4 "energy rays" coming out (or in or both ways) of the head shape vs 3 to signify the 4 parts.
May I please see this design, with notes above, in a version that has the head shape to the LEFT of the "creation Bolt" lettering? I would like the logo to take less vertical space and more horizontal space.
Remember I'm stressing clarity when reduced to what would appear on a cell phone screen.
Let's please try a more "yellow" yellow-gold color that still stands out well on both white and black. Closer to the edges of the yellow-orange graphic I submitted for the contest.
Love the head, but do not like the prying head open design. It's a turn off. Let's go with general shape but place the "inspiration bolt" inside the head. We can see lines radiating out from the exterior of the head...
I'm still concerned about the thinness of the fonts. Can we please make them thicker without losing their "airy-ness" as possible. With that noted, I rank clarity when reduced for a phone over the "airy-ness". Don't want to lose it though...
Also, may I see a version of this that has the above head changes, but to the left of the wording to make the entire logo less tall? Maybe the lines connect into the head shape? Maybe not? Please have a look. THANK YOU! This took me in a whole different direction.
Please apply color advice to this one. Symbol advice too. Please make 4 words below larger and easier to read. They might be whitish for dark backgrounds and visa versa. Please remember my cell phone size concerns.
I'm not finished ranking yet but had to leave notes ASAP, This one instantly grabbed me because it screams "creativity" and expressiveness.
It's extremely important that this look equally good on both a black or white background. Can the blue be a little "light blue" and more "royal blue". Please grab colors from my submitted blue and yellow-orange attached square.
I really need a symbol to accompany the words. A simple stylized human head with "energy" going off in its head? Does not have to be a lightening bolt! The energy should probably be matched to your 'Bolt' word. Maybe head shape in matching blue.
