Cowboy CupLogo Design Contest

Hi Ray,

Thanks for submitting your designs! Our main goal for this logo is to make the cup/trophy the focal point of the design, while also incorporating some subtle, yet noticeable Texas accents. Some ideas our staff thought of potentially adding on the cup or in the design: the Texas State Flag, the Star from the flag (see our Texas Draw logo I uploaded previously as a resource). Or more radical ideas, like a bucking bronco, or even some kind of cowboy belt buckle. I'll try to gather up some resources in the next few minutes to show you what I mean.

We'd also love to see some different color variations. Potentially the silver, gold, and black we mentioned in the brief. Or maybe even some fall colors palettes as we will be hosting this event in November.

I also just an attached an .eps file from one of our tournaments as another resource.

Some feedback on your most recent submissions. Entry #8 is a little more in line with what we are looking for, as the trophy is now the centerpiece. We would love to see the trophy have a bit more detail, some more sheen and crispness to the overall design. We would also like to see some different color variations, as we don't want it to completely match up with our logos from our other events.

Thanks again for your submissions. We really appreciate all the effort you're putting in. A couple pieces of feedback I received from my colleagues. We'd like to try and stray away from the red & blue color palette within the logo system and overall design in general. A few of our events already showcase these colors and we want to try something a bit different with this logo. Could we see some options with gold, silver, and black?

With the trophy, it still feels like it is lacking some depth/detail in the overall design if the makes. If there any additions that could be made to make it pop it a little more that could help. One colleague also suggested seeing the trophy potentially in sliver. I'm not sure if that well help elevate the design.

Lastly, regarding the emblem on the trophy. We like that to have more of bevel/emboss feature to it so that has the effect of appearing plated on the cup.

#79 was the colour you requested, but it looked (on my screen) a little light so i also uploaded #80 which is slightly darker :)
