I get that. Let me move you back to top five so we can see something. Here's the thing: The big vaulted peak looks just like our roofline, which is cool. But, because it is tied to the exact angle of the V and the A, it peaks high, which could throw off the size of the logo in certain locations (i.e.letterhead, etc.) I'm not sure how much you could adjust the angle without messing with the font too much. Even moving the word "Covenant" higher on the peak would not do it without changing the angles of the V and the A. Let me know if you think there is anything to be done. Thanks! (Also, they are liking deeper colors - no teal.)
Ok, great. I was actually thinking about the peak height too. There is definitely something I can do about that — I do like the fact it continues from the letter forms, so I can use a typeface that has less upright angles on the V/A which will enable a gentler sloping 'roof', which could look more pleasing overall too. Thanks for the color tip – I was wondering. Feels a touch garish in too bright colors.
A new batch – subtle differences over these designs (and spelling corrected!) New angle to roof is working so much better, much more pleasing and overall the logo feels more cohesive.
#125 – subtle cross in 'window' #126 – plain window #127 – triangle effect #128 – soft triangle echoes roof #129 – fine cross detail #130 – in another color #131 – and with subtle cross on the "T" #132 – finally, warm color on the roof, to differentiate from text
If you'd like to see any combinations of the above please let me know. I didn't want to bombard you with any more than this in one go! Thanks.
#160 An abstract cross in the form of lines woven into the "O". This could represent the congregation and community relationships and interaction (the 'weave').
