could you try some additional graphics element to the left or top center?
and I would prefer it without the lines.
the stanced out form of the x looks cool. but I'm not into the stanced out 'count'.
maybe some combination, with only stanced out X (on black? or some gradient?) could look cool.

Black for 'count' feels good.
