That would be cool however the symbol feels a bit scientific :)

yes true, scientific looking, it looks a bit gaming orientated, is it too serious looking or too corporate? what are your thoughts? the atom thing, perhaps something more computer looking, like circuitry, which is more a product of energy science. so I will look into it if time permits, that design took hours to complete so I'll see what else I can maybe do.

I want to try and avoid background gradients and dark backgrounds as I don't believe it would be suitable to letterheads, invoices and so on. As for the logo I think that it does come off as a bit serious. I am a web developer and my target audience will be for small and medium business looking for someone to develop their company websites etc.. So something friendly, inviting and professional would be ideal. thanks.

I am also looking for a freelancer for web design, if you are willing and available do you have any examples of your work that you can show me? I see that you are Australian based so that would somewhat simplify communications.

sure I do basic websites usually, I can layout out basic css I'm more into the visual side of things.. an example is at www.boatboy.com.au , I did that late last year , that was with a client who is a tradesman and there was a fair bit of educating to be done to get that little site set up, I designed the logo for them supplied everything myself. Using photoshop mostly a bit of illustrator and a bit of dreamweaver to get it online.. I do the animated banners as well. that banner with the diver i worked on for about five hours including concepting and copy, although the copy was refined by the client and then simplified again by me... lol another site I did most of the look and feel and the dreamweaver layout is www.surfingnias.com I did that a few years ago and haven't done much more to it since then. I did that one in hope of some free accomodation on the island but I haven't been able to afford to get there. lol

this new design is a play on the core in the name, but this is a blueberry. even though they are small, at the core of this fruit is some very healthy nutrients. I think it's friendly, inviting and professional and when great product, this logo will be very 'fruitful' and recognisable.

2 new designs sitll keeping it simple and friendly and inviting, I put the tek on a different size because the other logos look like it reads co retek instead of strait away reading CORE tek .. I think this is important because the logo is two words essentially core code and computer tech being the themes here for websites interactive I made a bit bigger because interactive has a lot of different meanings. it doesn't say website or internet, but when you sell your service it will for sure. I would just have coretek on it's own. less is less to read. that's just my opinion though. although I am 37 and have a fair bit of experience.
