Here is one of my proposals. Instead of creating a separate icon / typography combination, I've created an all encompassing logo / unit. One that can be used for additional elements just as branding stamps, watermarks, shirt badges/embroidery etc.
The logo is 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
Could you play with the colors and the font of the word "conundrum". Look forward to seeing other variations on this design or new designs as a whole. We like your overall style.
Like the font of "conundrum" on #17 the best. Also, like when the words "conundrum" and "pie bar" are the same color and everything else is a different color to make the name stand out from everything else.
Like where you are headed with #64 but the circular design looks too similar to a local competitor. Also still really like #26 but it feels a little "unfinished". Thanks for the work you're putting in!
Would it be possible to try some kind of boarder to encapsulate the whole design? Just a thought! By the way that was in regards to #26, really do love your style!
Thank you for the kind words :) and the additional feedback.
Here are a few variations to #26 to try and encapsulate it better; #82, #83 and #84 And then I've tried a variation of #64, just changing the shape slightly but also combining the design from #26; #85 and #86
Hey Angus, I know you've already shown us a bunch of different color combinations but there are three of us and we cant seem to agree on a color scheme yet. We we're wondering if we could see #17 & #26 in maybe some grays/oranges/greens/browns or any other colors you think might work. We really appreciate all your work so far and are completely open to any suggestions/ideas. We've narrowed it down to you and one other designer and have less than 20 to go and just really want to get this right. Thank you again for all your continued help, B.
Of course would be my pleasure ... Colour palettes are very important to a brand, and need to be right! Here are a number of combinations, but of course if you'd like to see something specific don't hesitate to ask. And regardless of the outcome thanks for a great project, has been a pleasure to work on :)
Angus I just wanted to extend our deep gratitude for all the work you put into this project. We really love your style, however we felt that another designer captured the feel of the restaurant just a little more for us but damn was it hard! Thank you again and best wishes to you.
My pleasure and thanks for a great project regardless of the outcome! I think you will have a great logo in the one Brian created - it's a great logo! I wish you all the best in the business.
