Using the cross as four arrows is an interesting direction
If you want to try some under possibilities....
I like less when the arrows are modified (like#32 and #31) because it becomes hard to recognize the maltese cross..

#34 and #35 changes the maltese cross to much (hard to recognize)
#33 respects it but the red round has no purpose...

#39 is a interesting idea...the maltese cross can be decomposed in 4 arrows... can you please try to explore it...
