...just one obvious note: Logo designs with recognizable, detachable logo icon/graphic offer more options for various applications (printing, web, etc.), and apart from that, there is much larger brending potential, related with memorability/recognizability of design, even when used without text part!
This is alternative concept, where outer frame is subtly presenting letter "C". As previous concept, all three versions are deliverable: on white background (#288), version for black background (#289) and flat/monochromatic version (#290) for fax use! Also horizontal layout is available for different printing applications and web use!
Let me know if I can be of further assistance! Thank you!
Here's simplified version of the logo! Realistic looking, high quality design like this one will be used for web and printing,...for fax use there are flat/monochromatic versions.
In case you decide to go with this logo, I have no problem delivering both vertical and horizontal layout, with realistic/3D look and flat/2D variations,...so final package would include white background versions (#282/#285), black background versions (#283/#286), as well as flat/monochromatic versions (#284/#287) for faxing in example,...there's also no problem in delivering full color flat versions!
Hope this was clear enough,...if you have some questions, feel free to ask! Thank you!
There shouldn't be any problems, faxing, or printing, having in mind modern technologies,...but I'll try to simplify things a bit! Thanks for the feedback!
I am worry about how this logo will come across on a fax (we will be faxing often). Can you provide some variations that don't have so much detail and maybe focus more on the words than the emblem? Thanks for all the work
...another development! Just exploring options, but red accented ship's compass on #214/#215/#216, or its platinum version on #220/#221, might still be visualy most effective solution! Thoughts!? Thanks!
...and here's less exclusive, maybe more pro-looking version of this design! ...deliverable version on black background on entry #221! Any thoughts/suggestions!? Thanks!
...this is simplified version of my initial design with ship's compass,...regular compass, with "C" incorporated! Let me know what you think, so we can continue developing this design, if you like the concept! Thank you!
Here are few high quality, pro-looking designs. On this one you have ship's compass, with letter "C incorporated into the frame of the logo icon and red accent color. Version #178 is a bit simpler, with less detail and more obvious "C" in the center of the compass.
Hope you'll like some of these and feel free to suggest improvements if felt needed! Thank you!

I'm glad you've recognized branding potential behind this design. Here's one more variation, with dark gray subtext.
