Here is my first idea - its based on my daughter and a cat - feedback welcome

#2 is better!

A few modifications - I've given the logo a bit of 'gloss' and a shadow which gives it a more 3-d feel.
I've added some crosses to indicate hospital, and made the tagline text a little bolder.

Don't hesitate to ask if you'd like to see alterations.

#3 - We are looking for more contact between the child and pet - more like the child is holding the pet.
