Thanks Don! I like that you incorporated the spectrum and an artsitic yet realistic looking wave. Maybe a little less structure in the lines separating the colors, more fluid less straight lines. I loaded one picture of a color spectrum that was more fluid, play with that in combination with your design. Thanks!!
Wow Don, that was quick! Those last two, #10 and #11 are my new favorites. I would like to see some with color in the name colorwave. Maybe an aqua or coral.Entry #9 had an aqua that wasn't bad. Also a few different fonts as well. I need to hit the sack here soon but I will check again in the morning. Thanks for the tips!
Couldn't help myself. Definitely getting there. #14 is my new favorite. The font is very surf style, I like it. The colrs in the name are also great. I will have my wife look tomorrow and see what her feedback is. Thanks! Goodnight. P.S. I put a few of your earlier logos in the not interested folder to keep more designers ranked so they won't get too discouraged by all your high ranking designs. Hopefully they will give me afew more designs as well. Thanks for all your help so far. Talk to you tomorrow.
Yeah, I thought you were going to bed :) Thanks for the latest comments, I understand about the not interested designs. You don't want the contest to get too cluttered. I just submitted a few more fonts for your review, I'll check back in the morning. Thanks again, Don
Hey Don. After reviewing with my wife, we would like to see the wave a little more arched and not as flat. Also, we like the color and font of the name in #10. Maybe a few more fonts similar to that and lets see the word "color" in maybe coral and the word "wave" in black or grey.
Thanks for the latest feedback, my wife was just saying that the wave could have a little more curve to it. I will get to the revisions later on tonight. Thanks again, Don
39 is better but lets go even a little higher on the wave. Also try the other more orange color you used or maybe an aqua for the word "color". #40 is really cool too, it incorporates the film end of what I do. Can you slide the color spectrum to the right a little so the oranges and yellows are on the far left with the greens in the middle and the cyans and blues on the right? Similar to the way the other logos are lined up.
42 is better for the wave, can you get rid of the purple under the lip of the wave and make the spectrum behind the wave a little higher to compensate for the higher wave? Can I also see the same thing with the spectrum edges more like #12? I think I like the aqua better in the name. In the filmstrip one #43, can you widen each color and eliminate the purple and magenta so it looks more like the spectrum on #12-maybe a little less softness between each color, so they dont blend together as much. Thanks! Ill check in again in the morning.
Hi Matt, Thanks for the latest feedback. I will be away from my design computer for most of the day, but I will get to these changes as soon as I get back. (Approx. 6pm CDT)
Hi Matt, Here are my latest revisions, #51 #52 #53
On #53, I reversed the colors because the wave got lost when it was on the yellow (not enough contrast) I think it shows up better against the blues & greens. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Don
Awesome, I am definitely liking #51-54. I am going to have my wife and a business friend of mine give me their input and get back to you tomorrow. Trying to find a good mix of fun yet professional. Right now I don't have any more input. Let me get back to you tomorrow. You will definitely be moving on to the top 5 phase. Thanks for your great work so far!
Cool. It's a great looking option. Can you show me something with this design but with the wave as the "C" in Colorwave? Also, do you have any tips for this phase?
Here are a couple more revisions #130 & #131 As far as tip for the top 5 phase, I really don't know of any, I feel that the top 5 phase is a good opportunity to narrow down what you like so when it goes to the judging mode, your final choice should be an easier decision.
Still on top Don. I will be deciding between my top 3 designers. Unless one of the other two come up with something that blows me away, you will most likely be in. If you feel likie showing me a few more options that keep that surf feel but have a bit of professional mixed in, go for it, if not, I will most likely be choosing you as my designer and wee will get this logo perfect for me.
I don't know if it is appropriate or not, but in design #121, the designer created an interesting shading in the colors that made them look shiny. Is there something similar to that you could incorporate in your color spectrum in #132?
Hi Matt, Thanks for keeping me on top! Here are a couple ideas adding a little luster to the design - #144 & #145 Let me know your thoughts. Thanks again, Don
No worries, I know we will have time to fine tune and look at different opstions after the judging period. Are there any designs being done or tweaked during that time or is that time just for me to pick my designer?
148 and 152 are cool. One last thing, can you make the logo a little smaller and on the left and then colorwave just to the right of the logo? You rock.
So I guess I should use this judging period to swap first place among you and 1 or 2 other designers who have worked well with me and shown me designs I like. Since you have pretty much been on the top since day one, I will start with you. What would you do seeing what I like so far, to give me something a little more corporate or professional using the main design we have been working with. I don't want to lose the fun, colorful, surf style we have going on, but I want to see what options I might have to lean a bit more towards the professional. Show me what you would do and please leave me feedback as you have obviously designed thousands of logos for businesses. Thanks Don!
Great, thanks for the update Don. Another note for later, any suggestions you have as far as what will work well on different types of media (business cards, tshirts, pens) and also what is too over the top and what would look a little more professional. Thanks!
#179 - I know that you said you prefer the letters at the bottom or the beginning of the wave, but in my opinion, this treatment gives a good blend of fun & professionalism & it would also work well in various uses...
On 144 and 179, can I see one or two different options of the color spectrum besides the circle shape? Also, can you extend the color spectrum to the lower left a little more so we can continue the back side of the wave a little more? Thanks!

Also, for alternative professional version...let's integrate #11 how the black/gray font is centered under bottom, with shape and blurred coloration of #51...
And maybe toy with this -with subtle line through font, maybe straight, maybe curved or like wave
Thanks for your patience, I just got back to my design computer now. It's been a long day! I'll get to work on the latest revisions & get them posted asap. Don
I like the font and placement in #184. Can you go a little further with #183 by making the color spectrum around the wave a little thicker-come out a little further from the white wave and maybe have the individual colors stand out a little more. On both of those, give me a little more wave on the left side as you did in #181. I think after I see those I'm going to see one other designer's last effort and then make my decision.
Ok Don, I would love to work with you and finish this logo. I like #184 and would like to see a few different versions of that one. First, lets start with the spectrum and work on the name and font later. For now, keep the same font. Can you give #184 the same luster effect as the spectrum in #144? I would also like to see a version where the colors are not as blended, maybe somewhere in between #184 and #52.
Thanks. #197 looks great. Any way to slightly adjust the lip of the wave? I've had a few people tell me it looked the a boat to them un the blue unger the lip of the wave.
